Indeed! As soon as my friend gets off work I'm going to hit up a local deli so great now is my sudden hunger for home cooked type meatloaf.
MEATLOAF!
methinks this is turning into one of those snickers commercials
Ive never had or seen Meatloaf (not the singer). What the hell is it?Big_Bad_Sad
• 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (leaner is better)
• 1 cup 2% milk
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
• 1/2 cup ketchup or barbecue sauce
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients except ketchup in a large bowl, and mix well. Place mixture into an ungreased loaf pan or shape into a loaf in an ungreased baking pan. Spread ketchup or sauce over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake uncovered for 1 to 1 1/4 hours until no pink remains at the center of the meatloaf. If using a meat thermometer, the internal temperature of the meatloaf should be 160 degrees.
After baking, let sit for 5 minutes before removing from pan and slicing to serve."
Obviously you could easily add or remove many ingredients depending upon your personal taste.

Nice to see you too Daemon! :)
If I could ever make Meatloaf and all of you guys were just next door, I would have invited y'all to the warming of my home for some Meatloaf. :P
I'd say it's a tossup between my super secret pork chops and my super secret beef stew. Both recipes are super secret and super delicious. For dessert, I offer peach cobbler. This recipe is not super secret (I learned it from Mom), but is still super delicious.

Sounds interesting
My fav is not on the list...I like a medium rare London Broil steak cooked over fire, with some veggies and Cabernet. (I don't eat the whole steak by myself though...they're huge).
Idunno I cook so many different things.
I make really good risotto, an italian rice dish. Its really good with wild mushroms and a drizzle of truffle oil on top.
I also make penne pasta with grilled sausage and veggies...grill some zucchini, some red onion, some portobello mushrooms, fresh tomatos, and roast some bell pepper til the skin turns black (then peel) it. Grill some sausages. Cut everyone into inch-or-so sized pieces. Get a pan with some garlic and shallot, saute in a good amount of olive oil over low heat to infuse the oil. When the garlic is cooked add a cup of white wine. Add cooked penne pasta, grilled stuff, and olive oil-wine sauce to a bowl and mix together. Toss in some fresh basil and parmesean cheese at the last minute.
If my mom is cooking, I like spoonbread tamale pie. So good!
