So, what is your favorite metal band? My personal favorite is Trivium. They will probably be the ones to steal the "throne" from Metallica. My second favorite isn't really metal, but some might considerate one and that is Avenged Sevenfold.

Most "metal heads" will say Metallica or Iron Maidem, I go for Dimmu Borgir, Gorgoroth or Burzum.kamil488
Of course anyone who likes METALlica/iron maiden isn't a metal head
My answer: Metallica, Children of Bodom, or Sonata Arctica.

Well, I am not saying your not a metal head but, some people wouldn't. When thrash and Metallica first came out, that was some hardcore **** As metal progressed, there was harder and harder stuff coming out making Metallica look like nothing. Plus, when Metallica went mainstream, it's like you can't be considered metal anymore. I will always think of them as one of the best and most innfluencial metal bands of all time. Others, not so much. Although, I think he meant that most people will say Metallica or Iron Maiden even though they haven't listened to any other bands.
Gorgoroth kamil488
thank god, there is another. Gorgoroth is freaking sweet. There is a really good interview /documentary of the lead singers, Ghaal,on youtube. Really entertaining, the guy lives on his family's property in the middle of nowhere. Its a really good view. Starts off kind of slow with some background, but once they hit the ground on Norway its really good.
As for my favorite bands, I like a bunch...Metallica, Pantera, Amon Amarth, and then some others I've heard but cant remember. Gorgoroth and Amon Amarth are problably my favorites
 Nice sword.[QUOTE="TheStatusQuo"]

I am going to guess you collect swords? lol
Of course I do. But what good does sword fighting do me when most people just have a gun. Or worst....
A Lawyer. :(
well, i like hardcore and stuff, but the OT doesnt consider that metal..8-BitternessI don't think anyone, anywhere considers hardcore to be metal, considering it is directly linked to punk... Unless you meant metalcore/deathcore or something.

sir, you have an amazing taste in metal. especially because Agalloch, Isis, Cynic, and Atheist are up there.Surprisingly you have an excellent list. I wouldn't agree with 1-5 (Anathema and Green Carnation being rockish nowadays anyways) being so high but regardless, the list is still full of greatness.I was never a big fan of thrash metal, but here are my favorites.
