Mine would be either Taken or the new transformers.

Inglourious Basterds. Although if The Book of Eli had come out a few days earlier, it would be my choice.
My top three are The Hurt Locker, Moon, and Inglourious Basterds...I think I'd give a slight edge to The Hurt Locker.JML897I'd throw in District 9 and those would be my choices, I didn't watch many movies in 09, I'm always late to the scene for movies; I'll probably watch a movie released tomorrow in 5 years, not enough time for movies nowadays and all the good movies get limited releases and are hard to find on DVD, so why bother I say.
Moon and Star Trek, but 2009 was a disappointing year for movies imo,I seriously hated The Hangover.
(500) Days of Summer
Moon
Inglourious Basterds
The Hurt Locker
If I ever manage to see The Road I'm sure that'll be in there somewhere as well.

I'm very fond of romantic films and it's extremely rare to find a good, modern romance film, without being too cheesy and more realistic.
Inglourious Basterds...i didn't much like District 9 and i never got a chance to see Avatar or many other 09' movies..
To choose just one would make my head explode. These are my overall favorites though. 56k warning.
1. The Road
2. The White Ribbon
3. A Prophet
4. Bad Lieutenant: Port of call new orleans
5. In the loop
6. Revanche
7. You the living
8. A serious man
9. Life during wartime
10. Everlasting moments
11. Disgrace
12. Fish Tank
13. Mary and max
14. Goodbye solo
15. The Messenger
16. The Maid
17. Moon
18. Worlds greatest dad
19. 35 shots of rum
20. Up in the air
The Hurt locker almost made my list, however the part with the kid at the base near the end brought the film down a bit. I understand the point of it, it just didn't work very well to me. Still though it was a great film.
A Serious Man
The Fantastic Mr. Fox
World's Greatest Dad.
Seriously, World's Greatest Dad was a great movie. Best dark comedy in a while. Also, was I the only one that didn't like Up in the Air that much?

You're not the only one. It does feature one of my favorite performances of the year, but that's about it, really.

I'm guessing you're referring to Anna Kendrick. She was really good, and I thought she was incredibly hot. :P Seriously, I couldn't keep off of her. Please Log In to post.
