How do you get above a 4.0? Just wondering.chester706
AP classes are "weighted" so for say you get a 94 in the class, you would get a 104 in the class weighted average.

Oh I see. So your saying that if I have over a 100 in a regular class that qualifies too? I take honor classes too but I dont know if that qualifies as AP.[QUOTE="Luminouslight"][QUOTE="chester706"]How do you get above a 4.0? Just wondering.chester706

I take honor classes too but I dont know if that qualifies as AP.Some honors ****s are weighted but it depends on the school. Honors ****s aren't weighted in my school. AP stands for Advanced Placement and it is prevalent in high school. It allows you to take a test at the end of the course to apply for College Credit, but the ****s are fairly rigourous, but I am breezing through it.

Thats what I figured. I am only freshman and I will take AP courses in the future. Thanks for the info.Considering my High School goes up to 4.0, I'm probably between 3.7-4.0.
No idea, last year I was asked to join an Junior Honor's Society because I had at least a 3.6. Half way through the year, its funny though, I did terrible half way through. Well, kind of. :P
It depends on what college you apply to.You guys and your "weighted" GPA's are hilarious.

all these nerds on here. pffft.
3.8-4.0. I usually have 4.0s, but I've had a lot of close calls where one class is a high B+. But, it's not surprising. I have just the perfect class setup (this semester) that I haven't done more than one homework assignment this year. I find ways to get all the work done in class, and then they have no need for homework. My classes just make you do homework if you don't finish the insane amounts of work in class, so I either manage somehow in-class, ignore it, or finish it the next day. I'm pretty lax about... school work. I hope next semester I won't have a bunch of homework-heavy classes...
We should also say what the lowest grade we've gotten/almost gotten was. My lowest grade was a C (only happened once), and I would've gotten an F if I hadn't worked night and day on the biggest assignment of the year which I didn't have done (computer crash), which boosted it up slightly to an A. *sigh*
