What is your ideal relationship?

Romantic wise I mean. I think mine is one with a girl who respects me enough to talk to me about anything she feels comfortable with. It also has to be one where we understand and accept each others flaws and weaknessess. Basically a smart and nice girl who wont cheat, not too much to ask for :P Unfortunatly i am 18 and still havent had one. I am just every girl's friend and advice giver, they talk to me and seek consolation with me because I tend not to judge them. Whenever I try and get closer to them in some way they always reject me:( Ah well the friend zone is a harsh yet sometimes oddly beatiful place ot be:)

LOL I had that, but I even cleaned the house. The funny thing is there all happy and willing to let you play video games at first, but it changes. One day Video games are evil and you don't do enough. Been there.

Well the girl I currently fancy (I think I have a very realistic chance here) is really great company. She's great to talk to; she's one of the smartest in our year, and also has loads of interesting things to talk about. Plus, she loves my sense of humour and I know I can tell any kind of outrageously offensive joke around her and she'll laugh. Plus she's attractive... Yeah, she's exactly the sort of girl I'd date. I'd just like a relationship like a friendship, but with added sex.

Yeah and I would rather be her friend than her enemy:P it would be great to be more than friends and I think part of the just friends thing was because we were still in high school and my school is tiny, only 7 high schoolers and it could have been a bit awkward for her. I just dont know if I should risk trying to be more than friends or maybe I should just treasure what i have. Damn these tough choices, I dont want to ruin our friendship either:(

Someone with whom I have a deep complicity, but who is also quite independent. You know, she's happy to see me but she needs some time alone too. It's just the way I am too, so I think that could work out. My current girlfriend is lovely and unique, but she's scared of everything and I always have to deal with her constant paranoia, and that really gets on my nerves sometimes...

DUDE, story of my life!!!!! It's funny, I was always that shoulder to cry on when a girl would have problems with her boyfriend, she'd come to me and we'd start hanging out more while they were on a break, they'd say "You are such a nice guy, why am I not with a guy like you?", then the guy would get jealous/insecure and he would change whatever his issue was really quick and they'd get back together. I didn't have my first real girlfriend until I was 24, she was actually a friend of mine for 3 years, and she finally let me out of the friendzone and into the IN-ZONE!!!!! Then dumped me for the jerk she left in the first place, now they're engaged :( It just seems all the girls I would consider dating are already taken, and they never have single friends of equal coolness or beauty.

It is indeed, especially if they are both pretty and you fall for them because of their personality as well:( This girl I like is almost maddening because she leads me on without realizing it and she never dates anyone. She has the just friends thing with alot of guys, but then has weird obsessions with friends of mine. Its maddening I tell you.
