They're a small company called WiFi Midwest. I get wireless internet from them. Not amazing, but certainly better than the dial-up I was on.

Originally it was a small company called Nildram. But they got bought by Pipex, who were bought by Tiscali, who were bought by Talk-Talk. So I think it's talk-talk now

LOL!

A while ago wasn't there some kind of problem where the US providers wanted to come and bring competition (which usually means lower prices and more features, as Rogers and Bell are monopolizing somewhat) but the government prevented them? How did that go?

A Venezuelan company called CanTV that was recently taken over by Hugo Chavez's regime. He has also brought in many Chinese IT professionals here; I suspect they are trying to set up an internet censorship system similar to China.

QualityNet. If by quality you mean censoring everything on the Internet because they're so self-righteous and it's probably only lewd content (as opposed to you know, beginning a totalitarian government) and charging $500 a year for slow as heck Internet with a 2 MB/s download rate and .58 Mb/s upload rate. At best.

no need to envy me. In my area this is all I can get. download speed doesn't really even matter to me; its the difference between getting something in 5 or 7 minutes. :? I'm happy that they doubled my upload speed (my seed ratio is now decent) :D

I'm going to assume you're talking about those Linux distros that you're distributing. I just think its shameful that I have such mediocrity made available to me, this, in a town featuring a national laboratory.

just so that the mods don't think I'm doing anything illegal; lets say that's it. (I don't do anything illegal btw) and most downloads don't use all of my speed so I hope I can cheer you up when I say "you're not missing out"
