I work at an Italian restaurant called Romano's Macaroni Grill, Friday-Monday. On Fridays and Saturdays I buss tables, which is $7.25/hour plus tips, so if it's busy and the servers get tipped well, I get tipped well. On Sundays and Mondays, I wash dishes for $9.50/hour. I was originally hired as a dishwasher in July of 2012, so I've been there for over a year. My supervisor gave me some bussing shifts that started last March or April if my memory is correct.
For a 20 year old college student, I'd say I make decent money. Dishwashing can be a pain in the ass because I get hot and sweaty, and I feel like I haven't showered in a week at the end of the night, but since I'm making $2.25 above the lame ass minimum wage, I can deal with it. Also, a lot of the waitresses are hot, so there's always that.Â
