Butterflies and Hurricanes - Muse
This song is so uplifting, and what modern band would actually have a Cla$$ical piano solo with rock music? ITS GENIUS.

Yesterday by the Beatles. Aside from being a pretty awesome song, it's the most covered song to date. That means royalties!Danm_999Except The Beatles no long own the rights.....
Late Goodbye - Poets of the Fall. Just the sound and lyrics capture something I think about that special someone... *sigh*

You should check out Poets of the Fall - All the way /4U, too, if you like ´Late Goodbye´.
TC: I guess mine would be Alexisonfire/City & colour - Happiness by the kilowatt. It invokes somethingdeep and profound within, for me atleast, and it´s generally just a really beautiful song, no matter how you angle it.
oo, i love that song :D i played that song in highschool for a remembrance day assemblyJohn Lennon - Imagine.

Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand
Jan lays down and wrestles in her sleep
Moonlight spills on comic books and superstars in magazines
An old friend calls and tells us where to meet
Her plane takes off from Baltimore and touches down on Bourbon Street
We sit outside and argue all night long
About a God we've never seen, but never fails to side with me
Sunday comes and all the papers say
Ma Teresa's joined the mob and happy with her full time job
Am I alive or thoughts that drift away?
Does summer come for everyone?
Can humans do what prophets say?
And if I die before I learn to speak
Can money pay for all the days I lived awake but half asleep?
A life is time, they teach you growing up
The seconds ticking killed us all
A million years before the fall
You ride the waves and don't ask where they go
You swim like lions through the crest
And bathe yourself in zebra flesh
I've been downhearted, baby
Ever since the day we met
Grey Street - Dave Matthews Band.
I've always loved the lyrics of DMB, and this song in particular is close to my heart. I always think when I listen to it how unfair it is for another artist to express my emotions so perfectly in a song.

In the context of mainstream/modern Rock I say it is, most rock musicians stray away from cla$$ical music influence. Bite me[QUOTE="bangell99"][QUOTE="lonewolf604"]

One of my favourite bands, Globus, is cla$$ical/epic music mixed with modern rock.
