In my town(deland, fl)a family posted this sign in response to a person who ran over their dog,and didnt stop:

(i know,its small but you should get the just of it)


what is your take on this? doesnt it seem its a little extreme?or not extreme enough?
this is what i think, I know those people loved there dogs,and all, but there is no reason to put up a sign telling the person who ran over there dog to burn in hell. the driver is probably a 16 year old girl (the house is right by my high school) , who is killing herself over it. and the people should have been responsible enough to keep there dog inside therefreakin pen. plus, the dog was small, and there is a small chance the hitting such dog would cause the driver to feel a bump, or even see the dog. especially with the traffic in that area(it is a very busy road) . and, hitting a dog then getting out could put you in danger, and other people(traffic)

i have sympathy for these people,but there is no reason to tell someone to burn in hell over it.

what do you think?

Yeah, it sucks that it happened, but who's to blame? The owners who didn't keep an eye? The driver who didn't or couldn't do anything? The dog?

i think the driver should run over the sign, what kind of pet owner lets their "beloved" animal run loose especially in a street.AncientNecro

it's just a dog. dogs are stupid animals. dogs dont build a relationship with you, they come to you because you feed them and give them a warm place to live. people get way too emotional over animals.

edit: also in drivers ed (at least where i live) they teach you that if an animal suddenly runs infront of your car you should hit it instead of swerving out of the way.

i drive by that house everyday,and trust me,if that dog wanted to get out,he easily couldve.

I've heard that too.I mean swerving could make you crash with other cars, and or fly offthe road possibly causing your death, or others.

btw,its been anounced that the family has put down the sign in response to some of the comments made.

It's a little much over a dog, I understand the anger and what not but the family is not just by acting like dumb ass's. No one in the case is just.

Why couldn't the driver pull into a driveway on the road to check on the dog and alert the owner, possibly saving the dog's life? This is the same as a hit and run, in my opinion. Humans are the parasites of this world.MotherSuperior
