Distorted guitars, heavy bass, pounding drums and a little electronc stuff thrown in every once in a while. When Rammstein and Infected Mushroom are my two favourite bands... I think it'll make sense.
That's really hard for me to pin-point because: one, I don't listen to a whole lot of music; and two, the genres vary. But a lot of the music I love to listen to makes me think about things moving foward.

prog rock(and others),metal and classical. however i have increased interest in rockabilly and folk after seeing the movie Walk Hard: Dewey Cox story, a johnny cash spoof fake bio-pic. that movie have GREAT music.

Depends on my mood. I listen to different type of music. It's the same with games and movies for me, so I change genres often because I get bored of the same thing.
Indie-Rock, Post-Rock, and Indie-Folk. Think Sufjan Stevens, John Michael McMillian, Gungor, and The Welcome Wagon. I also love some older bands like Creedance Clearwater Revival.
