I don't have a car atm. This should be fun for us to share what we at GS generally own/drive.

Well then start saving money, I drive a Chevy Malibu, gonna exchange it soon after this year for something better.

Been looking at a Lexus LS 460L for a while now. I need a tank that'll last forever.
I drive a 95 Camry...don't really care about how shiny or expensive the car is anymore...after crashing my RX8 and my DeVille giving so much trouble for the last year I felt like it was time to just remember I use my car to go to work. If I was rich then hell yeah I'd own whatever I wanted but meh.

Yeah, at it's heart a car is a machine to get you (and potentially some cargo) from point A to point B.
FWIW, I currently drive a Chevy Spark because I commute a fair way.

Don't look in the trunk.

I leased a Lexus IS 300 earlier this year. Pretty pleased with it except for the fucking tire pressure light going on and off in cold weather.
That's annoying. When I took delivery of my latest car this year in mid-December it was about 15F out and all four tires were alerting low pressure. I eventually filled them up to 48PSI at the dealer's recommendation to give myself some leeway for the sensors.
-Byshop
@Byshop: What is the recommended tire pressure? That seems really high and will probably wear the tires unevenly really fast.
48 PSI was specifically recommended by the service center for my car in this climate/altitude, but even if it weren't, overflating is better for tire wear than under-inflating. Anything that deforms the shape of a tire (like underinflating or parking on curbs) is really bad for tire wear. My car is also heavier than an average car so that might be a factor in the PSI recommendation.

'15 Cadillac ATS-V
How do you like it?

I LOVE IT. There's honestly times with the right music on the right roads, I feel like I'm in a freaking Forza game.

Same here. My car is in the last few Forza games, too. The first thing I always used to do in Gran Turismo is buy the cars that I owned in real life.

Yeah I got mine at the end of March so it was still a bit chilly out but not that cold anymore so it wasn't really something I noticed until the end of September. Mine will actually go off if I'm driving around a lot or for a long time. It'll stay off for the day, but then will be back on when I start up the car the next day.

How cold does it get where you live? I'm in Colorado and after I put some more air into them it hasn't been an issue. They also release over the air firmware updates for my car to update sensor data and things like that.

@Byshop:
If you carry a chainsaw in the front seat you can fit a body in the trunk.
At the moment I have four cars but I'm trying to consolidate down to two. They are:
2002 Toyota Prius
1992 300 ZX Twin Turbo
My wife has a Lexus SUV that's about 10 years old. I forget the exact make and model.
And finally the actual car that I drive around is a Tesla Model S 2016 with the Autopilot 2.0 hardware.

I live in Philadelphia. I'd say the average winter temperature is between 40 and 50. I did take it back to the dealership but I think all they did was put a bit of extra air in. The light came back on a few days later. I had a '13 Subaru Impreza before I got the Lexus and it was doing the same thing. Although with the Subaru it was recent and just started doing it this year, even though I had it for 3 years.
Currently have a Buick Enclave for the obligatory soccer mom car for my Mrs , I have a f150 crew cab with a 3" lift rolling on 35" mudders. We had a loaded Saturn Aura I just wrote off from hitting a deer, was so mad it had 50000 kms that it,paid in full never winter driven .Lesson learned, taking care of your car if it's not a luxury or sportscar is like not screwing your woman so she stays tight for the next guy
I was about to say that background doesn't look South Shore at all.

Yeah, unless you're talking Kelvin that's not that cold. I figured we were talking about somewhere much colder. I'm surprised you're having issues.

Fvck global warming, 1993 RAM Charger SUV, 8 cil, lots of HPs under that hood and every single one is thirsty for gas. Ya'll guys from the North need to get warmer winters.
I tried but there was this big wall and a bunch of guys in black who wouldn't let me through.

I was driving a 2.0l BMW Z4, but recently decided to return to University so sold it and got a Peugeot 206. It's surprisingly fun to drive.
Is that the Roadster? I debated getting one of those back when I bought my Z. I think it might have been in a Bond film. lol
-Byshop
@Byshop: It is. Fantastic car to drive, and you can fairly push on with them. It will be another four or five years before I can consider anything better than the 206 though!
Nice. I ended up getting the 92 TT 300zx for about 20k used with 37k miles (back in 2000) and put the rest of the money that I would have spent into upgrades, but even then it was always going to be a "weekend car" because it's not practical for everyday driving.
I ended up with the Tesla as a replacement for both the Z and the Prius as a car that had the best of both. It's at least double the "fuel" economy of the Prius (equivalent of 110 MPG roughly versus the Prius's 40-50 MPG) and it's faster than the Z even though it's a more practical car (4 door sedan that seats up to five adults and an additional two children for a total of seven, cargo space in front and in back, 0-60 in just over 5 seconds).
Now I'm just waiting for them to start rolling out the Enhanced Autopilot features throughout the year.

Well I was thinking about it from a day time perspective. Temperatures usually do drop below that at night into low 30's, high 20's.
Tesla's are neat too but I'm not a huge fan of the interior. I just feel like having a giant screen in the middle of the car like that looks odd. Would love to try out the Ludicrous mode though.

It's very different from any other car for sure. I really like the two displays, although portrait probably wouldn't have been my first choice but in reality it's more like two landscape displays stacked on top of each other the way it splits the apps. The car is very different from pretty much every other car I've ever driven or been in. The main dash displays show other cars on radar, ultrasonic proximity, road curvature, and there are two multifunction displays on either side of the main that can display pretty much whatever you want (navigation, audio, power consumption efficiency, contacts/call log, odometer/trip meters, tire PSI, etc). The car also doesn't have an ignition or start button, it's all based on keyfob proximity. You just get in, put it in drive and go. It lurches forward faster than any other car I've ever driven (my wife actually hit her head on the headrest once). It also doesn't hurt that I can literally let it drive itself for dozens of miles without any intervention on my part.
-Byshop
I forgot to mention, it also does this.
-Byshop
That is bad ass how much did that cost you? Driving a 2017 Fusion Sport currently.
Ehhhh, a lot. It's a fully loaded 60D with pretty much every option except the largest battery and performance motor. Premium upgrades package, autopilot, self-driving option, subzero package, 3rd row child seats, upgraded sound system, panoramic sunroof, adjustable height air suspension, etc. I actually bought two this year. The first one was a 75D show model that I got a great deal on, but a month later they updated the autopilot hardware on all their cars to eventually offer full self-driving so I traded it in for an upgrade (with the tax incentives I basically broke even on the first one). I got a 60D the second time because the 60D is actually a 75D with a software capped battery, and since you're not actually supposed to charge the battery to 100% every day because it reduces overall battery life (I kept it capped at 80%) I can charge the 60D to 100% every time and get the same amount of range for a cheaper car. If I ever need that extra 20%, I can just pay them to unlock it and it rebrands to a 75D.

I drive a 2008 Scion XB. It's got good pick-up and go, it's small and great for parallel parking (but roomy enough on the inside) and it gets the job done.
