what kind of GPA do you need to get into a state college?

in California its 2.5 to 3.0 depending. In all honestly if you can pay the tuition most colleges State and Private will take you. GPA isnt looked at like it used to be.

depends the colleges within the state, ill use illinois for example because i am familiar, the univ of illinois is considered a state school but is a lot tougher to get into (A/B average) than lets say western illinois university (C average will get you in) the best thing to do is so some research on the schools you are looking at

all state schools are not created equal. some if not more private schools are easier to get into than state schools. Ony thing is that they can be WAY expencive!
