Physics FTW

It was my favorite science in high school - sadly I don't have a job that involves physics.... maybe I should try and become a aeronautical engineer too :P

Im concidering jobs in teh field of physics or chemistry.. im leaning towards chemitry though.

P.S. im in school too and dont actually know all that much about either. I do know that there are meant to be a fair few posibilities in chemical engineering though.

I was a physics major and work as a software engineer now; the only time I've used physics since school was very mildly when I worked at a company that did circuit board verification by detecting single photon emission when transistors change state. It wasn't really required there, but they liked that I understood the underlying principles of their technology.

All engineering fields. There's not much if you study pure physics though. Professor and researcher are only ones that come to mind.

Researcher?  It's hard to say; there are few jobs that correspond directly to physics.  Most are offshoots that require a solid foundation in physics.  Then again, you might get hired at a job that has nothing to do with your major. Really though, engineering is the closest.  Look into those fields, especially mechanical.

I'm polishing up my Honours Physics Degree and I'm already getting job offers from various companies and universities.

I'm not going to take em just yet tho cause I'm aiming for a Masters or Doctorate.

Go with Physics. It's awesome and rewarding.
