There is no right or wrong answer. What music are you into? As for me, I like power metal, rock, pop and trance.

I gravitate towards metal, but will listen to anything really. Right now it's this band Kebu, that is just one guy using old synthesizers. This is probably my favorite track. Goes back and forth between sounding like the theme from an 8-bit action/platformer, to 32-bit jrpg battle music.
Heavy metal from the likes of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Dio, and Megadeth is my absolute favourite.
my go to genre is definitely metal, but I generally like strange/experimental/atmospheric stuff - if its strange/experimental/atmospheric metal, all the better.
I didn't expect so many metalheads here. :)
I like a lot of different kinds of music but my favorite is 2000's nu jazz, broken beat, anything that combines electronic music with jazz, funk, soul, dub etc.

Nice! This one's in my Spotify playlist already :)
Actually got to see them live in Poland awhile back. They put on an amazing show.
I Like all kinds, but I've been pretty consistent with my love for metal.
Recently stumbled across this solo act from New York, American-Indian dude with the black metal title Blackbraid.
I like a lot of the Scandinavian stuff, too. Gorgoroth, Immortal, Behemoth, etc
Love me some good stoner metal, too. Love that fuzzy, untuned guitar 😋
I also like a lot of indie or folk and alt-country or whatever. Idunno it's hard to nail my tastes down, I'm pretty mercurial I guess?
Mostly metal and rock. And recently mostly Japanese metal and rock. I still listen some western stuff, but I just like Japanese stuff more. Just around Halloween I visited Japan for two weeks and saw two of my favorite bands live: Unlucky Morpheus (band that got me into Japan and Japanese music) and Liv Moon. And saw two of my favorite violinists: Jill and Saori Hoshino.
Other bands I like:

Blues / jazz / soul
City pop / funk / new jack swing
Classical / musical / orchestra
Disco / R&B / reggae
