Me and the wife just bought a new 4K TV - Samsung KS9000 and we love it, I use it mainly for gaming and for watching movies.

I have a 43-inch LG LCD with two HDMI ports. One is permanently hooked to a satellite TV box, while I use the second to connect to my laptop.

that's cool LG make some decent TV's, I'm skint after spending money on the TV and I have to start saving my pennies now lol.
There are 3 TV's in my house. A 50" Panasonic S60 in my living room (complete with PS3, PS4, and 1070-equipped mini-ITX HTPC). A 42" Panasonic G10 in the bedroom. And a new 120Hz Samsung 40" LED TV in the other bedroom.
When LG releases their 2017 OLED's in April, I'm going to purchase a 65" OLED for the living room. Very hyped. Been thinking about it for awhile. Dreaming about Uncharted 4 in HDR and playing Battlefield 1 in a giant 4k OLED screen. The screen will be so nice it will be fun even going back and playing older games.

i bet the latest OLED TV'S will be very expensive you should be looking at the B6 Oled I've heard good things about that TV.

I've been looking at the B6 for awhile but since the B7 is only a few months out, I'm willing to wait. I hear the prices will be launching much cheaper than previous years, particularly for the B7 because it's a Costco exclusive TV.
Besides, the 2017 LG OLEDs are the first OLEDs that are supposed to meet the 1000-nit HDR standard. And other small things (can't do HDR over Youtube on the B6 for example).

i would love to buy an Oled tv but its out of my price range maybe in a few years when i have the cash i will get one and i can't even imagine what the 2017 models will be like but it's all good lol
I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I've still got a Samsung 1080i DLP from when I bought my PS3 back in February of 2007! What's crazy is that I could get 65" Ultra 4k Smart TV for the same price I paid for a 50" DLP in 2007.
As much as I'd like a slick, new TV, mine still works fine and I just can't justify spending the money. I want to retire early...my money goes towards 401k and additional mortgage principle.
An assortment of 1080p and 720p TVs ranging from 24" to 46" with two of the 24" (1080p) ones being used as PC monitors.
I also have a 20" CRT TV in my den for older stuff such as a PS2. The bed rooms, living room, kitchen, and family room each have their own TV.
Strangely enough, I use the Watch Anywhere feature of DirecTV on my iPad more than on a real TV.
I don't replace TVs unless they break. So, it may be a while before I get 4k.
I got a Sony s9005b as soon as it released. I probably should have waited for HDR before going 4k, but the input lag in gaming mode was great for 4k
47" Sharp in the living room and a 32" Samsung in the bedroom. Both 1080p and basic, but right for my needs.
I was considering replacing the Sharp, but the hardest thing to justify when I'm shopping for a TV is how hard it is to get one that isn't labeled "Smart TV". Because IMO in that regard, smart = vulnerable and voyeuristic.
I had an LED 40" Hisense since last summer, in livingroom, but almost never use... I mostly use 24" pc monitor in my room.
46" sammy lcd that i picked up super cheap back in '09 when circuit city went out of business.
also have a 10+ year old sony 34xbr960 (crt) which was a beast of a set back in the day. have it in an upstairs in my home and it's too damn heavy to move ( ~200 lbs ) maybe it'll stay with the house when i finally move out..
also have a home made LCD projector hooked up to my pc
I have a 50" Panasonic 4k TV... but it's non-HDR. So I'm waiting to see what happens with OLEDs over the next year or two, then I might get one.

I wonder how long that will last. or last without some kind of updated next gen. These days its just so hard to keep up. Although 1080 did last a tad. I'm pretty sure i already saw 8K models out. I myself own a Samsung 59 inch, and still works great. Although i have a 42 inch Sony in my bedroon, and the color is a tad better then the Samsung. These 4K HDTV's seem great.
"55" Samsung.Don't know too much about spicks+specks and all that dribble, but got it last year and haven't put a dime towards paying for it yet. :( My mom watch's her programs on it and I game with my Xbox One.
I got a LG 50 inch something. Claims to be UHD, but I don't know.
That is due to nothing being broadcast in UHD or 4k yet.

I think it will be a long time before 8K is mainstream lol that's if it even takes off we shall have to wait and see how we get on with 4K, theire is still life left in Blu Ray and 2k will be around for many years to come because it's a very popular format but I think you can say that dvd is a dying format lex.

What's sad is that despite there being an okay selection of UHD and HDR Blu-Ray releases, nearly all of them are virtually identical or worse than their 1080P Blu-Ray counterparts. Basically, a very small exception of UHD Blu Rays are even worth having (according to A/V Blu Ray reviews and Linus).
I just don't see 8k being a thing in this decade (outside of gaming and gfx design).

I dunno. Many. The main floor has a 60" LG 1080p passive 3D TV that I bought several years ago. That's just for family TV watching so its adequate, and if a movie is 3D and I think worth watching in 3D, getting my wife to wear passive glasses is an easier "sell".
The workout room has a Samsung 50" 4K TV. Not because that room needed something that big (the elliptical is literally four feet away from it) but they are so cheap.
Finally there's the Man Cave.
I have a 40" Samsung UN40KU6300. Not a Tizen-based detail set, but I got that specific model because it has low input lag and will run 4k at 60FPS. That TV is on an ottoman to the left of the sofa. The primary display is a Mitsubishi HC7900DW Native 1080P Active 3D Projector that's throwing against an 80" screen.
The two displays are being driven by a Pioneer VSX-90 4K ATMOS 6xHDMI input and 2xHDMI output stereo receiver that's being controlled by a Control4 Home Automation system using HC250 and HC200 controllers. The receiver does multiroom and I can put my PS3, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, PC (in the other room), Wii-U, etc to either display. I often will be gaming on one or the other while I watch TV on the other display (or I can game while on the couch TV while the wife and I watch TV on the projector).
The only drawback to this setup is that I don't have 4K HDR on the largest display so I'm not taking full advantage of the Pro (and eventually Scorpio). I plan on eventually replacing the projector with one capable of 4K but after they come down in price a bit ($10,000 is a bit much for a TV).

We have two sets; The TV I actually game on is an old bulky Sharp TV, which makes playing some newer consoles to their fullest extent kind of difficult, such as the Wii U which I own. However, it's otherwise served its purpose well and is a beloved and cherished part of my gaming setup.
I have a 50'' Panasonic 1080p Plasma. I don't know what I would do without her.
I mean, is it me or every time you see a TV display in Best Buy that horrible soap opera effect is still there? Like, is that a thing now? Like, the general public has accepted that as "normal"? Maybe its just the crappy ones. Anyways, if my Plasma dies I might become one of those sad people who pay thousands of dollars to get a new (lightly used?) Plasma.
42" Panasonic 1080p Plasma TV.
But I mostly use a 32" LG 4K IPS monitor.
