If there was a language I hate, then it would be french. Because of having it at school and sucked at it.

That's why I quit, and consider myself extremely bad at it.

Both Italian and Spanish are pleasant languages to hear. I have no idea about how difficult italian is, however tagalog (my second language) was greatly influenced by spanish so it has a somewhat similar structure. I never did like how chinese sounded. It never really had any finesse imo. I don't hate it though, it's just I'm not interested in learning it.

I don't hate any language but I don't understand what they are saying unless they speak English. If I was visiting another country and no one spoke my language I would fake speaking their language to blend in.

For example if I was in France I would say things like une, deux, trois. Or if I was at a restaraunt I would probably order french toast since it is french and probably the only food I can pronounce in French. So when the french waiter/waitress said whatever I would just nod my head and smile and say french toast. Then if they said anything else I would just nod and say Oui. Or maybe tres bien or something like that so they would think I am a local. Or maybe I would just say oui, oui, oui so they would think I am really hungry and would hurry off to get my french toast.

I really hate it when companies use people in Portugal and Swahili to answer customer support calls from America. I think they do it on purpose just to say EFF YOU don't call us for support.

Well I don't hate a language... I just dislike it...
For example I dislike Tagalog. Never liked it much but I use it anyway.
If you hear me speak it many would think I am a person raised abroad.

Of the four languages I've learned and spoken (English, French, Welsh and German), I'm going to say Welsh. Despite learning it to various extents for about 14 years (all people in Wales have to learn it through their compulsory education, which lasts 12 years, and they were teaching us bits of welsh in nursery and whatnot before then) and I still don't understand the language. I can understand a good deal of German after only four years, and same with three years of french, but Welsh is still as confusing as ever. It's not like it's even a useful language to learn, since the majority of people in Wales speak English first, and of the whole population, only a negligible amount speak Welsh but not English. Not once have I ever used Welsh outside of lessons to any useful extent, whilst several times I've used German to translate information into English. People are keen to keep the language alive because it's part of Wales' culture and national identity. I think culture and national identity serve no purpose whatsoever, but I don't object to others promoting them. What does annoy me is how some people have gone too far and act as if Welsh is everyone's primary language. Royal Mail (or "Post Brenhinol" as they're called here) recently decided to inconvenience me by putting Welsh before English on all of their "missed delivery" forms. Despite this, all the critical information was written in English only, rendering the bi-lingual form pointless.

Same with Gaelic, wish they would just let it die instead of wasting time & money trying to incorporate it into modern scotland

I don't hate any language. I am fascinated by all world languages. The more complex, the better. I might even consider going into linguistics. However there are a few languages that I dislike. I don't really like the Khoisan languages like the !Kung san language because they are just comprised of clicks and whistles. As complex as it might sound, I wouldn't find any use in learning it for communication purposes since it is only limited to tribes scattered in parts of Africa.

I hate that too, ugh. Especially that one user here... nevermind, I won't start trouble. But I don't really like the sound of German, it's a very abrasive sounding language with hard hitting consonants. Hate it though? Of course not. Hating a language is pretty silly.

Probably Japanese...you learn it for a year. Dedicating 5 hours+ everyday outside of class to it.

Then you get to Japan and find that everyone either speaks English or that you can get by simply using English and pointing. Waste of time.
