What made you join GS?

What motivated you to join this awesome website known as Gamespot? If I remember right I joined just so I could participate in the discussion "Sam Fisher vs Solid Snake" on the System Wars forum haha. What about you?

To help me ascend to new levels of me having a life!

Well, more like because i like the OT forums, good moderated forum

i think it was after the announcement of halo 3 back in 2006.

I've been coming to this webside since 2003, so I thought "eh, why the hell not" and made an account.

Needed cheats. Super Cheats led me to GS, I joined for absolutely no reason.clayron

I heard they had the least strict forums in the interweb.

Wow. Overshadowed by a bunch of higher levels here. Call me intimidated.

I found Gamespot back when I was looking for PS2 reviews. I joined when I wanted to post on videos. I went to the forums when I saw you needed to be level 3 to comment on them.

I'm mostly a System Warzer, though.

I felt like a change, I was fed up with the people over at Gametrailers and so I joined GS, I wasn't really active for a few months but now I'm insanely active here.MushroomWig

Was using Gamespot for free info on games when i couldn't get my fix at Boarders from the game magazines. Got tired of filling my age out for the videos everytime i visited again so i made an account... didn't discover the forums till much MUCH later.

I think it was just so I wanted to post on tha forums.

I was bored and wanted to post on some random threads. :P

I lurked here for 1-2 years and decided that GameSpot seemed like a pleasant place to talk about random stuff and videogames.

But what made this different from other game sites was the profile features and awesome people.I originally stumbled upon it by searching cheats though.:lol:

I don't know why everyones leaving GS for gameFAQS. I made an account on there to post walkthroughs and I don't find it to be that good of a site.:?
