With the new iTunes 9 and ipod updates. I was wondering what people used as there media players either on their computer or portable. Personally I use iTunes and an iPod mini for working out and a 30gb Ipod Video

Not really. I usually don't listen to music on my PC unless I'm on lastfm. I only use what I use because it goes hand in hand with my mp3 player. I only really like VLC and Winamp because they play just about anything and everything.

Winamp for music. Media Player Classic with K-Lite Codec Pack for video. It plays everything and I like it better than VLC

This exactly. I only use itunes for putting music on my ipod. I'm too lazy to try to figure out how to do it with Winamp.

Foobar for music (allows me to play mp3 files on all channels on a 5.1 system with a mod, not sure if this is possible in other players).

VLC for video (.mkv mainly)

VLC for video

Winamp with custom modules for audio.

And yeah. I have yet to find a file format that VLC wont play.

I mostly use iTunes since it syncs my iPod Nano. If I'm not syncing with anything I usually use Windows Media Player or sometimes Winamp. Though VLC is a monster, I haven't found anything it won't play yet.
