dbPowerAmp, hands down. Way more encoding options than any of the big players, and an actual idv3 tag editor, which is mysteriously missing from almost every other piece of media software.crucifineLike anybody here is going to know what you mean. It's sad how people buy iPods and use the crappy earbuds that come with them and use iTunes and think it's all good.

Why not just download codec packs?
For videos, MPC w/ CCCP. For music, WinAMP. Having tried many other media players in the past, I am convinced that neither of these two can be improved on.Teuvan
Same here.
I believe MPC could use a better playlist editor, but nothing beats it's options and simplicity for watching video.
As for Winamp I just think it's cause I've used it for so long it basically becomes part of my computer habits. Also with the enhancer plugin, and the proper knowledge of how to setup the equalizer with your speakers you can get awesome sound.
[QUOTE="Xeros606"]my favorite media player is real player. it goes great with aol on my new compaq presario. it also came with comet cursor, the best way to get over 1,000 customized pointers.Teuvan
Real Player...AOL...1,000 cursors...

Since you got a 8800, you need to turn something down. It's probably your 8800 that screw everything. Mine was.
