I don't normally cry at movies but I recently watched the Nosatlgia Critic's review of "Casper" and my eyes started welling up! I'd forgotten how damned sad that movie was, the whole premise is pretty heartbreaking really. Well anyhoo, that got me thinking about what movies I've cried at, I can't remember too many but I definitely remember crying my eyes out when I saw Titanic (I was 10).

So what movies do you remember crying at?

I ALMOST cried in a few movies. Wall E (cause I was a loser like him  ), The Land Before time, A Beautiful Mind, that's it for now but there are a some others. I'll post them if they come to mind.

Up.

I also cried during the ending of Shawshank Redemption. I don't know why since it was a happy ending but I was like 9 and I kept thinking Morgan Freeman was going to die before seeing his best friend.

Shawshank Redemption would have been a lot more action packed if Gordon Freeman was in the movie....

None, but Forest Gump elicits this sense of nostalgia in me that gets me close to crying. Also, Up and Titanic were good, but no tears.

The Fox and the Hound mauls my emotional control to shreds. :( The fountain is also a tear-jerker for me, as was Boys Don't Cry.

Dancer in the Dark
This movie is heartbreaking. Selma is a factory worker that is slowly getting blind due to a rare illness. She only gets joy out of musicals, in which she wants to play. But it's getting harder for her because of her blindness. She doesn't make much money in the factory, but she saves as much as she can for her son's operation, because he's suffering from the same illness. Then her neighbour steals her money. Really, watch this movie, it's so sad.

Brokeback Mountain
I've cried my eyes out with this movie. Especially about Ennis (Heath Ledger), he's so helpless with his love for Jack. Especially at the end where Ennis hangs Jack's and his jacket together was very touching. Beautiful movie, but really sad.

"Little Princess". I cried the first time I saw that. Also "The Champ" not the 1930s original, I'm talking about the 1978 version with Jon Voight. And some more, just can't think of them right now...

Up made me sad during the beginning and Ratatouille almost made me cry when the girl stops her bike and see's the book "Anyone can be a chef". The message of the movie really hits you during that part. Anyone can be whoever they want to be

The Hills Have Eyes 2. I cried because that movie was so terrible. I also got emotional when that guy from that old Disney show The Famous Jett Jackson got killed.

I dont really cry at movies, but I do at war movies because it saddens me to see a warrior protecting our freedom to die. I have like 50 relatives that have been oversees in war, back to the 1800s during the Civil War. Miracle at Saint Anna made me cry, becasue number one it was racist and number two they all died except for one. Pretty sad, especially the music. Also Saving Private Ryan becasue thats my name and the Captain died. I cried at some othe rmovies though, like The Perfect Storm, Titanic, and 8 Below. also in the movie the Patriot.

Fox and the Hound is like the biggest tear jerker in my life. Rugrats the Movie when Tommy was all sad, The Pursuit for Happyness when he's crying while sleeping in the bathroom, when the dog dies in I Am Legend, and im sure there are a few others.

the only movie that ever made me cry was saving private ryan. i cried at the very last scene, when it shows pvt. ryan as an old man visiting arlington national cemetery with his kids, grandkids and wife. just how the younger generation could never understand what soldiers went though in ww2 really got me.
