I wouldnt shed blood for my own nation, unless we were being attacked. I wouldnt join any military faction, id just start shooting people.Taegukki
Go Wolverines!
i honestly dont know....its easy to say something now when i dont have to....but when the time comes i dont know if any country....even my own (USA) is worth it...Serial-No_3404
EXACTLY !!
No country in this world is as important as a single human life.
When you think about it, a country/nation is not much difference from a corporation/company.
Would you die for your company or someone you worked for?
A country was found as something to regulate and protect people from harm.
When does the idea of harming yourself come into place in the idea of serving your country anyway?
Even though the UK and the USA have their differences, if the UK ever faced dangers again like they did in WW2, I would be more than willing to stand up and fight with them for the sake of mankind. But on the flip side, if the USA keeps steering in the direction that it's going, no one will ever want to team up with us to defend ourselves. What's your thoughts?jt222_us
Are you sure standing up for a war is for the sake of mankind?
Are you sure killing other humans are for the sake of mankind?
Are you sure slaughteing millions of innocents are for the sake of mankind?
. . . cause thats what War is all about . . .

I don't like this question but I decided to read what people's thoughts were... Anyway, I was outraged that to prove your point you minimized down defending one's country to defending a corporation. I am not a very political person but I am willing to die for freedom or justice. I've only been alive for more than 2 decades but no company has ever tried to defend the people I love from terrorists.
Wow, its good to see so many people think so highly of us that will go to war so our loved ones won't have to experience it themselves:|. I guess only soldiers can understand that senitment.... I would gladly give my life for my country and the people in it. My family is here, and so are my friends. That is reason enough for me. Demeaning that by comparing it to a corporation is just plain offensive. I don't really think there would be any other country that I would do this for.
Soldiers do not join the military to kill. We join to protect our family and friends from the horrors that war can bring. If I have to give my life so that my baby sister can enjoy a good life free of that then I would do it 100 times over.

Actually, if you read the other posts there's not that many people willing to die for their country. Just me and a couple of borderline people. I'm no soldier but if you disparage my beliefs and threaten my family, I will not hesitate to spit on your grave.

Internet is different, I can easily defend myself here but if my family and I (and the whole US) were sleeping and violently forced out by gunpoint that's a whole different story.

When you join the army and become a Soldier,
It won't be up to you if you going to protect your family ...
or kill hundreds of other's family ...
i would shed blood for my family and loved ones not for any stupid nationsolidgamer
CORRECT !
Dieing for your nation is completely different from dieing for your family and loved ones.
Joining the army is in no way close to the meaning of protect !
Army is the definition of Bloodshed.
It is the meaning of destruction in true form.
Just as soldiers are trained for only one purpose, that is to KILL !

Well, your spelling skills are laughable. If you're going to quote me, make sure it's right.

And for the record soldiers are trained to kill in order to protect. Something you obviously have no concept of. If you don't think that every soldier that has been in combat realizes that he is going to have to kill someone's son, father, and brother then you are sadly mistaken. That is exactly the thing we deal with so that our loved ones will not have to. I love my country and everyone in it is worth dying for. The citizens here are my brothers and my sisters and I would do anything that would help them keep the way of life they get to enjoy. We take our orders and fight where we need to. I would rather have the fight anywhere but my homeland. I would rather not see my brothers and sisters bleed because nobody wanted to take action before things went out of hand.
[QUOTE="GettingTired"]I wouldn't. But I might fight if the US got invaded. But I still wouldn't join the military, never. Miltias for the win.longhorn7why would you want to go into battle with inferior training and equipment? The real world isn't like the movies.
I know. But a militia isn't as regimented as the military. You'd have more freedoms on decisions to make. A military can tell you what to do and you have to listen to it, no matter what. I would never do that.
I would die for my family fighting, and our freedoms in our country.
But I don't agree with the war right now, we're spending too much money right now, it's killing us.
