Dinosaur Jr.- Beyond: It's rad, if you're a fan (like myself) then you need to check this one out. Super Awesome!

Beyond

BRMC- Baby 81: Oh, why did you have to go back to the same ol' BRMC. I liked Howl way too much.

Baby 81

Feist- The Reminder: It's great but Let It Die still remains supreme.

The Reminder

Frog Eyes- Tears of the Valedictorian: Carey Mercer! Huzzah!

Tears of Valedictorian

I rarely get excited for new albums. I'm more into the old stuff. I like just one or two modern bands.

i bought the new albums from God Module and Assemblage 23. God Module's "lets go dark" is really good electro industrial from a band that claims to make spooky dance music. and they succeeded. i also bouth 2 albums from the industrial music group midnight configuration. they are pretty good.

Thanks, Zap-O-Matic. I enjoyed both MM and EITS releases but I found them both a tad bit dissapointing.

Ya,West was really emotional and great,i've lost interest it though (then again it might be from me listening to it a thousand times :P) and Moon,was...alright,it wasn't my cup of tea. But on their new one,i loved Spitting Venom, and Florida, also Invisible, and People as places as people.

the most recent albums i purchased were the new shadows fall and arctic monkeys album. i'll also be buying the new rush album when it's released on dvd-audio in a few weeks. oh, and i've been looking for the new dark tranquillity album, but i couldn't find it at any store near me. thankfully i have the leaked version, but i would like to buy it if i can find it.

i agree with you about modest mouse. i've been a fan of them for years (i live in seattle, and they've been huge here since the moon and antarctica came out), but their new album isn't anywhere near their best.

only new album's i've bougt this year are Year Zero by Nine Inch Nails and Part 2: The Endless Not by Throbbing Gristle.

YZ's ok... not NIN's nest album, but still great. i can totally see the vision and where Trent's going with it, but something just doesn't fit with the pacing of the album which hurts it a little (but not much). still a great album with some great tunes on it and i cannit wait to see them live... again

Part 2: TEN is Gristle's 1st album in 25 years. it sounds nothing like the old stuff (but then people would just complain if it did) but that's not really a bad thing. it's still a good album, just not their best. still i get to see them live at the ICA in London in the summer working on new stuff so that should be cool :)

i'm stunned. i thought for sure you'd know them. look em up. they're a rick band that combines classic elements with new wave and other elements. and they wear styling suits.

It's been a while (probably two weeks) since I last bought new albums since I don't really have money at the moment. But the last ones I bought were:

Fad Gadget - Fireside Favourites

Killing Joke - s/t

TV-Resistori - Intiaanidisko

Oh. Wait. I thought you meant new albums that we also just happened to buy. Well, I just got the Grey Album and it owns. I also got Bloodflowers, but I'm still checking out the Grey Album. Also, Dark Side of the Moon is pretty rad after all it turns out.
