That would be Japanese, just because most anime series and movies are from Japan and it would be much easier than to rely on subs, even though they are quite good, from which I have heard.
And of course the language my relatives speak: Chinese. I'm Chinese and can't speak fluently Chinese (Cantonese), because I have lived in the Netherlands my whole life.
I am fascinated by the ancient Greek culture. In order to receive my degree, I'm required to take four courses of a foreign language and I plan on learning the ancient Greek language. DecessusThat sounds interesting. Add Anchient Greek to my list along with French and Italian :)

Irish lol? Like a gaelic language?
Yeah....why not?
Not very practical learning a language no one uses
A small minority do, but itd be a nice language to learn anyway
Just like japanese.....It's not as if you can actually use it in any practical way...well, except maybe watching your favourite anime shows or talking to japanese people on your vacation...

I know mate...
My point though was that people learn some languages(Japanese, for instance) because they like the way it sounds or the cultures in which it's being spoken. Not necessarily because the languages themselves are useful.

But then why...
That doesn't make any sense. You could learn so much in the time it takes to learn a language, what a waste of time!

It's no problem if it's your hobby......but it's nothing you should spend school hours on.

Good point. It seems standard in Wales, that instead of learning Welsh in Welsh lessons, we learn to play new card games.
hmm, welli already know french and hindi
i'd like to know german and ive heard its pretty easy to learn
I would like to learn German and maybe Proto-Germanic. English, German, Swedish, and Icelandic come from Proto-Germanic. It also would be useful and interesting to learn Mandarin and Japanese.

Is it even possible to learn "proto-Germanic". I don't think it's one language, and certainly would've changed over the thousands of years of civilisations that spoke proto-Germanic. Furthermore, according to wikipedia, we can only make educated guesses to what the words are, since it's been learnt through comparison with other languages.
EDIT: OMG
