The first two definitions of "race" describe a particular group of human beings--meaning that to answer this question, you have to go further than a simple "human." The third definition sees "race" as the whole of humanity--and since we've never met any other species out there, classifying yourself as "human" is redundant, condescending (because you're assuming someone is stupid enough not to know that we're currently ignorant of alien races), and simplistic. (I'm polish.)

If the TC wanted to know if you hail from the human race as a whole, he/she would ask for that. That is not the case, though. And all of you know it. So, if you're not going to answer this question in the matter that it was visibly meant to be answered, why post at all? Leave, don't come back.

Leave, don't come back. doesnt matter, he said "What race are you" you cant just ignore its many definitions and pick one that you like, Americans can be a race, Humans can be a race, Black can be a race, the TC then replied with "Im a lot of stuff" he can mean half dog half human for all we know :/
But you KNOW the TC was referring to something a bit more concentrated than "I'm an `effin human being." I didn't ignore the other definition, I simply used the process of elimination--which took me all of one second. 1. We're all human beings. 2. The TC admits to being a mixture of numerous nationalities. 3. He wants something similar from us. --You don't have to say what country you're from. You can go ahead and say you're from the freaking "West." But pointing out that you're human is pointless and insulting. And, if we were to refer to "race" as humanity's whole--this is what the question would most likely look like: "What race are you of?"

So, you're assuming that the TC is a descendant of various space-alien races? Really? That's neat.
You should be able to infer that he was not asking the question of whether or not your a human being though. Thats common sense. And when I think of race, ethnicity is the first to pop into my mind. When I think of human, cat, dog, etc, the word Species is what comes to mind. I'm a mix of French and German.

Well, actually everyone who said they are human, some animal or something else (including me) are freaking smartasses. It's quite obvious that TC didn't ask that are we human or aliens.
you never know, Aliens might find this topic offensive xD, what if someone escaped from a lab where they were geneticaly altered ? what if they're half human half shark, i mean you have to think of everyone now, not just ourselves
