For whatever reason, religion has been an ever present topic today, so natural I have to come on OT and ask everyone what religion they are :p. I'll break the ice by saying that I am an Atheist. Now it's your turn?!

I prefer not answering, but I also can't stand not posting in a religious thread. So I have to say Other for now. Because quite frankly, in a way, I'm undecided. But if I was anything, I'd be a Christian or Aheist.

Those two seem to follow the most logical basics. I believe it's either one or the other, nothing in-between.

The most logical? They are the least logical O.o The most logical is admitting that you have no way of really knowing... And no, It isn't one or the other...there are numerous other deities that could exist rather then just the christian one...Agnostic. I accept the possibility of a God but also accept that I do not know either way, and don't feel right devoting my life to something I don't 100% believe/not believe.

The others are all about feeling good. So I'd either choose to either not believe/not know, or believe in the most logical choice, Christianity. It makes the most sense in my opinion. Because it seems truthful. At least there's both good and evil in the Bible...It's not just...Do good, feel good; merge with your inner self garbage.

lol ok. It just seems weird that you'd chose those two. The extremists on both sides are usually at eachothers throats.[QUOTE="Theokhoth"][QUOTE="cyberdarkkid"]I'm a Catholic and I love my religion.cyberdarkkid

Pretty much sums up my opinion on that...1. It's not a literal "Eating of the body." It's a symbolism...And yeah, it does make perfect since. If it's true. Which I'm not sure it is. I was Christian for the majority of my life. But due to problems in my life...Fell away from it.

I spell it as "Qur'an", since that's how I pronounce it in Arabic. The "q" sounds like a really "sharp" "k", unlike in English.

lol, I understand about my avatar but I don't see how my sig hints to that It's just Mr. Steve Vai :P.But yea some the music I listen to might not have the most religion-friendly views or lyrics but that doesn't mean I agree with them, it's just art and entertainment for me. And I despise the Spaghetti Monster >_>.

If it's symbolic, then what's the big deal? And that's not true. I meant it makes the most sense out of the religions I've heard of. You really can't disprove anything in the Bible (I've tried and I've read up on it), but a lot of it you can't prove either. So I wouldn't drop it as my choice. I'd either do one extreme or the other. I'm not an inbetween person...If you know what I mean. :P
No. The others have many illogical bases to them, and they are all really far-fetched.

Right, because a garden with a tree of life and a tree of knowledge where a talking snake convinced the very first woman to eat a fruit, thus condemning all of humanity to hell is a perfectly logical base... Christianity is just as far-fetched as any other religion.

Notice the part in bold. It's just YOUR opinion, and it seems truthful to you. That doesn't prove anything, and it doesn't make it any more valid than any other religion; all it proves is that YOU think Christianity makes the most sense, just like millions of other people think Islam, Judaism, Shinto, etc., make the most sense.
At least there's both good and evil in the Bible...It's not just...Do good, feel good; merge with your inner self garbage.

There's also good and evil in the Torah and the Quran, there really isn't very much originality in the Bible; and some would argue that Christianity is also about self-discovery and all that "garbage", it all depends on who you ask.

1. I don't know where you came from in this Thread, nor do I care.
2. He was attacking MY point of view. I never said it was true, nor did I say it was false. I said it was MY opinion. And depending on who you ask, they could say it's true or false. I'm not talking about who I would ask. I'm giving my opinion. Deal with it.

I spoke a second too late :p
I'm United but I don't really beleive any of it. And I'm not atheist. I beleive there is a higher entity then us out there ( some may called it God ) but I don't particulary belive in Jesus and all that mumbo jumbo. Sure Jesus may have been a real person at one time but I just can't beleive some stories that could have been drastically altered throughout the years. I don't beleivemost things literally happened the way it's told and they were changed to make it more appealing and send a more apparent message.
