What religous dominion do you fall under? I'm protestant.

I'm not Religious but I'm not arrogant enough to say there is no god at all like some Atheists .

No more arrogant than claiming to know that there is a god. It goes both ways.
I'm the same, but I chose protestant.Christian who does not subscribe to any one particular sect, and therefore has nothing to pick. :P

It's as real as any other religion.
Then why is it getting banned in many countries?[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="theone86"]It's as real as any other religion.theone86

I could make many of the same arguments about Christianity.
Fine then. But the 2nd and 3rd links pretty much prove that it's more of a dangerous cult than a religion.I'm not Religious but I'm not arrogant enough to say there is no god at all like some Atheists .

after several million years of 0 scientific proof of god... i think we can safely say without arrogance that there isnt one.

Fine then. But the 2nd and 3rd links pretty much prove that it's more of a dangerous cult than a religion.I really don't see a lot of proof, I see a sensationalistic video put together by people who were clearly against scientology in the first place and want to put a bad spin on it. I'm not saying certain things aren't shady or that I agree with all of their tactics, but I am saying that watching that I can draw a surprising amount of parallels between Scientology and the religions I've experienced first hand, and if I were to bring up my issues with Christianity the defense would be that it's their right to believe what they want and live how they want. If that's the standard we treat one religion by, then it should eb teh standard we treat all religions by.
Pretty much all of them. jaydoughAll religions have taken on some sort of business aspect. If they didn't they would be called cults and would have a much smaller following.

I really don't see much of a difference. I've seen many cases of supposedly legitimate organized religion existing only for the sake of profiteering and/or simply for the sake of self-perpetuation. Would you like to know how much money my parents give to church every year? I don't know, but if I had to guess it would be in the range of $5,000 as a lowball estimate. In my mind that's a waste of money, to them it's worth it. Who's to say when it really is a fruitful venture and when it's not, me or them?

But you don't see people going after the Catholic Church the way they do Scientology. If your point was that I was making a generalizations that is not ALWAYS true, I concede. However, I still see no reason as to why I should single out Scientology as the religion that needs to be villified.
