jack hammering sounds and trains.. :/ there was quite a lot of kids run over by trains around here so i guess the sound of bodies squishing on a train wheels..

The damn wind. It's very loud on the 44th floor. But when you look out the window, the trees don't move a millimetre. My other house I would associate with birds chirping in the morning. And cats screaming like they're being abducted, but that only happens like once a month though. But it's still very memorable.
