Today, I do bodyweight bodybuilding from home only. I used to watch MMA and muay thai fights.
Football (soccer). Arsenal fan for over 25 years.
Tennis. Now that Roger's retired, I'm a neutral fan.
Rugby: both codes but prefer Union. Also tend to prefer southern hemisphere (Super Rugby/Rugby Championship/NPC for Union, NRL/State of Origin for League) over northern, but I do follow both. Canterbury/Crusaders and New Zealand All Blacks fan.
Dabble in lots of other sports, including MMA for a while, but only the aforementioned three have my sustained interest.
I watch hockey. I'm a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The NHL playoffs start in a few days, so I am growing a mustache. It's a hockey tradition to let your facial hair grow during the playoffs. I don't believe that it brings me good luck -- it's just a tradition. It's a way of showing my allegiance to the Leafs.
I play tennis, practice tai chi, and do general body workouts.
I stopped watching hockey because the Canadiens are terrible; I might check out the NHL playoffs now that they're about to start. F1 might be something I'll watch occasionally if I stumble upon it while channel flipping. I've been following WWE if you can call that a sport; I might be interested in trying pro wrestling as a hobby in the future.
American football.
I’m a big Carolina Panthers fan, but I haven’t kept up with the NFL as much the past few years because the Panthers have been too painful to watch.
I also like the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA, but again, too painful to watch.
At least the Carolina Hurricanes are usually good. Their games never broadcast in my neck of the woods, though.
I like wrestling, hockey, and football. Also, boxing and MMA, I like basketball and baseball too.. Pretty much I like all around sports.
Regularly I only watch Formula 1. Other than that I might watch our national football team matches or whatever's got people talking, basketball, champions league, etc. And of course the world and European football cups. Used to watch Novak Djoković matches when he was rising to the top, it was a big deal here in Serbia but now he wins all the time, so meh.
@plasticpie: I'm not a huge fan of eye-gouges, headbutts, nor getting kicked or punched in the balls repeatedly. But... I'd still watch it.
Don't really watch sports. The drama and excessive commercials found in most doesn't appeal to me. Between the constant commercials during football games, or the ego-stroking shit-talking around MMA fights, it's just gross.
I enjoy weight lifting, but that's more of a hobby for me than a sport.
Why nobody here watches Vale Tudo or Lethwei boxing?
Probably because we are not sadists.
Also I doubt you'd find such barbaric MMA variants widely circulated outside of certain countries.
I like watching professional paintball, the old dvd videos by DerDer used to have sick montages and amazing soundtracks, always got me pumped to go out and play Xball.
lately mainly just F1. I haven't missed a race or quali in like 15 years.
NFL i'll tivo the NYG games and watch them slightly sped up w/ the 30 second skip that almost perfectly lets you jump all the replays and commentary between snaps and of course cuts out all the commercials. compress a 3 hour game to like 30-40 minutes.
love watching the world cup but can't get into MLS or the Premier League or anything like that.
very very infrequently i'll watch hockey.
NHL. I’m a fan of the Calgary Flames. I’m only a hockey fan.
same, but i'm a Canucks fan. the two disappointments of the Pacific lol
