If a girl says she likes you, chances are good that she likes you. Usually they're obtuse and deceptive - be glad that she's actually forthright with you.
Never in my life would I consider that, IF you feel that strongly about her then you have to take it with your brother first... if you aren't comfortable doing that then I guess she wasn't worth it after all.

That is an awkward situation considering that she used to go out with your brother. But if you like her, I guess you shouldn't let that get in your way. Just take things slow and see where it goes. However, if you don't like her even though at one time you said you did, yeah, you could be in for some messy situations in the future.
