What deodorant do you use?

Is it antiperspirant/deodarant, or just deodorant?

I have some sort of allergy to most of that stuff. When I use it, I develop a very uncomfortable skin rash within a day or two under my arm pits. It ends up lasting for three or more days. So ultimately it's just not worth it for me.

I had looked for a good one for a while that wouldn't give me that reaction, and I thought I found one for a while. The only problem is that it is intended for women. It's "Dove Ultimate Smooth". It didn't give me the skin rash. I picked the scent that I thought would be the least likely to be feminine, the "Cashmere" one. That worked for a long while. Recently though I started developing a skin rash while using that one too. I am not sure if it is due to the formula changing or just developing an allergic reaction to it through long-term use. Either way, it's back to using nothing.

I just have to avoid the Houston heat and humidity as much as possible.

Looks like you might have had something going when you were using Dove.

Have you compared the ingredients of what you have tried? Not all are made up of the same. You might be able to narrow it down enough to find something that could work.

Or a good allergist could run some skin tests with different ingredients.

I only use the kinds of deodorant that have no aluminum in them. I usually stick with Tom's of Maine deodorant. I have heard that antiperspirants are the ones that usually have the toxic crap in them, but I'm sure the deodorants have all sorts of aluminum bad stuff in them too. I stay away from the crap pushed by the corporations.

And here I was thinking you were talking about shoulder pads and elbow pads that people use for rollerblading.

Deodorant stick after I come out of the shower. My armpits are already clean and all I need is that fresh smell that will last throughout the night. Deodorant spray for everything else, since I'd never use the stick on an armpit that hasn't been washed vigorously with soap and water.

The deodorant stick is that high-end stuff that I get from my old man, while I've always used axe effect for spray, just because I've never thought of changing it up. Though recently I have bought this "rexona" for men that might work even better. People in Europe might know the brand I'm talking about.

Mitchum, unscented, usually solid. It's an anti-perspirant AND a deodorant, simultaneously.

...God, I hate Axe ads. Most obnoxious marketing for anything ever.

Irish Spring deodorant, smells good (not obnoxious like axe) and lasts all day.
