IMO, I think that Rhythm games require most skill due to the fact you have to move your arms, feet (if appicable) need good hand eye coordination and dont forget the fact that you will fail out of songs or not. I also think that shooters are tied with rhythm because you have to have good hand eye, relfex and good timing. What do you guys think?

Real time strategy games. It takes knowledge of all the units, tactics, reflex, timing, coordination and more to be the best.

Definitely Rhythm games in my book. For me it's not rather or not you fail that makes these games hard, it's the fact that it takes months and even years of practice to get good at some of them. Of course, if you just want to have a good time, then you don't need to worry about all that, but in general people don't really enjoy rhythm games until they are good at them.

As much as I hate to admit it, it will be some sort of RTS. RTS are mental and reflex heavy. If video game skills gave you real life abilities RTS masters would be super fast, super strong warrior masterminds with leadership skills second only to god. (Sorry if that sounded weird I'm tired. :P )

Fighting games. RTSgames don't take nearly as much skill, but they are second.

It depends entirely on what we're going to define as "skill". Is being able to aim and hit 100% of shots skill if you don't understand the game, or is being able to understand the game skill if you're not good at actually playing?

Debatable. Something like top level Guilty Gear takes a pretty insane amount of skill but I honestly don't know if it can compete with something like top level SC2. I'm better at fighting games than RTS games (by a decent margin) and the amount of **** a top level SC2 player has to compute let alone input at any given moment is beyond daunting. I'm nowhere near a pro fighting game player mind you.
