What videogame OSTs (Original Soundtracks) are the best? Which ones do you like to listen to outside of their games?

I've probably listened to thousands of OSTs over the course of my gaming career, but here are a lot just off the top of my head.

- Every Mario and Zelda game ever (ALTTP and Galaxy being personal favorites though.)

- Every Final Fantasy game (or at least every game that Nobuo Uematsu is involved in maing the OST to. Seriously. That man is a living music legend.)

- Splatoon (1 and 2)

- Cuphead

- Sonic Mania (Tee Lopes: music god.)

- Mario Kart 8 (Awesome punchy jazz.)

- Shovel Knight

- Pokemon D/P/PT (Best OST out of the Pokemon games in my opinion.)

- Every Jet Set Radio game

- Xenoblade Chronicles

- Scott Pilgrim vs The World: The Game (Anamanaguchi did an outstanding job on this OST.)

- Kingdom Hearts

- Stardew Valley, Minecraft, Animal Crossing (for relaxing.)

I'm sure there's far more, but those are just some of the best off the top of my head. What do you think are the best OSTs?

OSTs were like the only type of music I listened to in my mid teens. Mainly fantasy-ish RPG music. I'd download them onto my PSP.

Still listen to Nobuo a bit. Lost Odyssey, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, and X.

@stormcast: Yeah, he's great. Especially his work on Final Fantasy 6, 7 or 8 in my opinion.

I'm listening to Deus Ex: Human Revolution's OST right now. It's great for a bit of atmospheric ambient music on the background while I browse the internet or simply contemplating.

Goat soundtrack for a goat game sitting in the wrong section.

Final Fantasy, Mario, Zelda, Dark Souls, and Smash Bros. OST are pretty much the only OST franchises that I listen to. Hell, I actually listen to a few Dark Souls tracks in my car when they come on in my shuffled music list like Soul of Cinder or Aldia's theme...

Final Fantasy VIII and IX are my favorites. I also liked Nier's soundtrack. I do have some others like The World Ends With You, Stardew Valley, Final Fantasy XV, Persona 4 and 5. Oh, I also love Tropico 4's soundtrack. I have been playing a lot of Final Fantasy XIV and wanted the soundtracks for it but waiting for a deal on Black Friday.

Portal 2 OST

It has an excellent variety of dramatic, exciting and quirky music. Plus, the tracks are amazingly done!

Other than Portal 2, I really like Bully, MGS3, GTA V (the score, not the licensed music), and the Arkham games.

I like the Demon's Souls, Dark Souls I & II. Not yet played the third game so I don't want to listen to the soundtrack to it.

Bioshock 1 and 2 as well.
