I was 13 when it came out in 1977 and I went with my brother and my parents. I thought it was a pretty decent movie when I initially watched it, but it's been quite some time since I've revisted it so I'm unsure if I would enjoy it nearly as much as when I was a squirrly little kid.
I went and saw American Beauty (1999) with my sister and her friends when I was 13. It was rated 18 and here that means you can't view it unless you're 18, so they had to kinda sneak me in. I was blown away by the film to be honest, I was intrigued by the fact a film can be so bleak and beautiful, and based around such 'grown up' issues. I still enjoy it on the rare occasions I catch it on the television.Â
My uncle was babysitting me and he wanted to see Purple Rain back when it came out in 1984. (I was six at the time.) That was the first time I got to see R-rated nudity. :P
Ah, memories.
I believe it was John Carpenter's The Thing back in 1982. I was 7 years old and my uncle took me. Next was Beverly Hills Cop.Murderstyle75
That's a pretty fvcked up movie to see when your 7.. That would have scared the sh!t out of me if I saw it when I was that small.

That was the 80's though. Its how we rolled. I would personally hate growing up today in a world of over protective soccer moms. That movie is awesome.Heck yeah it is. I need to see it again. Rewatched it and Total Recall (the original not the new one) recently. Badass movies [QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]
The earliest I remember is True Lies (man that makes me feel old).

I can't remember the first R-rated movie I watched in the theater. It might have been Alien.
I did, however, watch "Gotcha" in the theater. The first movie to have a PG-13 rating. 1985. High school date night. Good memories.Â
That's one of my favorite movies. What a great one to use as an introduction to adult cinema. Mine was The Good Son. It was alright, but it didn't leave much of a lasting impression on me one way or the other. My second one was Schindler's List which was a much better entry.I went and saw American Beauty (1999) with my sister and her friends when I was 13. The Exorcist. It was a double feature at a drive-in, after a kid's movie. It was the summer 1974, I was almost 5, and I was expected to fall asleep before it started... that didn't work.
That damned movie still scares the hell out of me.
