the phantom menace, the young anakin was really annoying, not to mention jar jar binks aswell.

Both were terrible, picking whats worse is like picking who's worse between Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber, you just can't do it.Aspen706
Miley Cyrus.
Both are bad. Hated Jar Jar, Attack of the Clones was more or less a snore explanation type movie for the fans.
That's very tough. Pros for each movie: Menace had a really cool lightsaber fight. Attack, I thought Jango was pretty cool in the limited time on screen, the end battle was alright, and the Yoda fight was cool. Cons for each movie: Menace had Jar-Jar, immediately cast a bad actor in the central character's role, crappy direction, FAR too much time on a small subplot including a really contrived race sequence, a very poor and sporadic end sequence (the Gungan battle, infiltration of the city, and fighter battle), and one of the worst excuses for a fighter battle ever (this deserves special mention because the entire sequence is a kid blowing **** up by accident). Attack had melodramatic crap and poorly delivered lines, a horrible sterotypical "we're going to kill you, but in a way that you can conceivably escape and in the end our plot will have failed when we easily could have gunned you down with a blaster" sequence, and far too much time spent, again, on a subplot involving Anakin, who again was portrayed by a sorry excuse for an actor. Basically, i have to say Menace was worse because it had more cons, although if you'd ask me which one I'd prefer to watch I'd say Menace because of the lightsaber fight.

not to mention jar jar binks as well.

haha I forgot about jar jar binks. Probably the worst character ever created.
Jar Jar can single-handedly destroy every representative of the Jedi Council.
yeh thats because they would all jump to their death out that huge glass window behind them after being in the room with him for five seconds :DCan barely remember the majority of TPM...super_mario_128For your own sake, don't try to remember anything.

Well, I was thinking of Jar Jar's little known technique. The Death Toe!
Phantom Menace is worse for Jar jar has a bigger role, young anakin was a terrible actor. But the battle between Qui Gon and Obi Won vs Darth Maul was epic. Episode 2 had its faults and the romance got really corny, but the ending battle was awesome and Obi Wan was cool in the movie. Episode 3 was very good.
Both were pretty bad haha. Like other people have said I really wish they wouldn't have killed Darth Maul off so quickly.
Phantom Menace introduced everything you had to know about hte political scene for Star Wars however it had Jar Jar Binks, some of the cast were terrible, midicholorians, and just a poor direction in the whole thing. With Attack of the Clones, there was a lot to be told for the creation of the clone armies, the beginning of the end of the Republic, and a bunch of other things but it still had some terrible cast and the love scene was just terrible.
Could of been better. Hell, the Gungans would be cool if they were made into more of a serious race. But I'd say Phantom Menace. I absolutely hated it.
It's a hard choice.
Though I don't HATE either, both are bad. Phantom has Darth Maul, and Liam Neeson and Ewan Mcgregor both as well played jedis. Everything else sucked. (minus the pod race, I personally loved that.)
Attack Of The Clones gets my vote though because of the terrible first two hours of snoring. But then once the jedis land in the arena, it takes a bit of an uphill turn. So the last 45 minutes is good. But everything else sucks, Hayden Christinson, Natalie Portman's amazing overacting, still no death of JarJar, and a plot that just sucks.
...a horrible sterotypical "we're going to kill you, but in a way that you can conceivably escape and in the end our plot will have failed when we easily could have gunned you down with a blaster" sequence

More or less the premise of every James Bond movie.
Attack of the Clones. In my opinion, the insanely awkward love scenes gives it a slight edge over Phantom Menace.yabbicokeEvery time I flip the channel to Spike TV, I see that.:x It makes me cringe.
I'd still pick Attack of the Clones though since I like some of the battle scenes. I seriously can't get through Phantom Menace for a second time.
Aside from Anakin and Padme's cringe-worthy dialogue, I thought Attack of the Clones was actually pretty entertaining. On the other hand, the only thing Phantom Menace had going for it was the Darth Maul fight; the rest of the film was either just boring or had Jar-Jar in it, so it gets my vote.
i can't stand jar jar binks and the little kid, so i think phantom menace sucked big time...Attack of the Clones redeemed the movie
I was too young to hate The Phantom Menace. It was heaven to a ten year old boy. Clones, however, was yawn inducing for me, and that baffled me. The first hour of the movie I'm sitting in my chair, munching my Cookie Dough, dumbstruck, thinking "How can my most favorite thing in the whole wide world be this boring to me??" After I came to terms with what I was witnessing I just kicked back and let it all just flow into my brain, not criticizing, nor enjoying. I just wanted it to be done. I came out of my coma to cheer and holler with the rest of the geeks when Yoda whipped out his lightsaber, as that was always something I wondered about. Then we got home, and I put in episode IV to cleanse my mind. Revenge, however, made me feel a bit better, as I feel it is loads better than the first two prequels.
... I don't hate the movies, I loved them dearly, but if I had to pick which one I liked least, then yeah, Phantom Menace. I can't believe they killed off Darth Maul AND Qui-gon. Oh, and Jar-Jar. Sweet damn, was he annoying.
