What was the biggest milestone for you?

16 I guess.
Came out of the closet and finished compulsory education.
I'll probably not be going to uni next year so the only thing that will change when I'm 18 is that I can buy alcohol rather than getting someone to buy it for me.
18 is the big one for most people. You're legally independent, there's college, your future, etc. all ahead of you. Most people go through a lot of internal changes at that age too.
I think 20 is about when your dreams die and you get hit by reality.

14, maybe 15 for me actually. Sad i know.
I'm 18 and i dont drive so i guess 16 is insignificant, i dont drink so 18 isnt significant either.
Hm this is tricky.
I think I made it to 22 before my dreams and spirits were crushed. :P[QUOTE="xLFTMx"]

What?Thats pretty good going in my opinion.
Turning 22 was a big change since reality hit me, but the biggest had to be when I turned 18. I moved to Birmingham to go to uni there, made some awesome new friends and established healthier social connections than what I had back at my old home, even within my family, and I didn't have to worry about getting asked for ID. Turning 18 was pretty awesome, unlike turning 22. Being an adult isn't as bad as most people make out, though and I'm pretty satisfied in general.
21, but not because it was when people in the US are able to legally drink. I was still 20 when I went to Korea and Soldiers were allowed to drink at 20 over there at the time, meaning when I turned 21 I was already allowed to booze it up. Although I pretty much avoided alcohol regardless. I say 21 was a milestone because it was when I first spoke to my wife.
I'm almost 18 so i'll go with that.
After about a month 21 seems like less of deal, if you want to drink you drink.
Being able to drive made my life so much easier. Got a job and started making money so I could do all the things and buy all the things I wanted.
Second would have to be 18(which is my age now...). Can buy my own tobacco when I want, got a tattoo, scratch tickets and of course college.
None of them. You look upon them in retrospect and see the life slowly fade from your eyes as the unforgiving beast that is age plucks a piece of joy from your mind, reducing you to a shuffling mass of flesh by your time's end.
16 but not for the same reasons. My mum didn't understand the hype and I was like "Mum.. I'm legal!"
I would have voted 18 because I can drink here but I am not 18 yet.
None of those catagories fit me so I vote 18 as I could legally buy beer in Virginia (and hard liquor in New York). I spent graduation day getting drunk and riding the Loch Ness Monster roller coaster at Busch Gardens as it was my birthday too.
