What was your favorite saga in Dragon Ball Z?

I just recently got the series on DVD this Christmas, I've been going through it again. The show is loaded with nostalgia, I was wondering what saga people held in highest regard looking back on things.

-Saiyan

-Namek/Frieza

-Garlic Jr. (lol)

-Androids/Cell

-Majin Buu

Personally, I like the Androids/Cell saga the best. Future Trunks and Gohan were my favorite characters, and the finale to the big fight was just so dang awesome. I've been rewatching the Buu saga as well, which I remember being very frustrated with as a kid, but I'm having loads of fun with it on DVD. Must be the ability to marathon it instead of going at a pace of one episode a day.

Gosh, this show is just so much fun.

Frieza.

Cell saga onwards was still cool, but most of the older cast became obsolete characters.

I' m going with the Cell saga. It has given me my most memorable fights and characters. I liked Frieza and Majin Buu too.

I remember thinking the Cell saga was the best but that could just be that I was the perfect age for DBZ when that saga was being released in english. Buu saga was definitely the worst because it had so much filler that went nowhere

Nearing 22, it's been over 10 years since I was really into DBZ. I was obsessed with it between the ages of 9-11 (slightly extending to 12)...but I have to say the Frieza saga. Personally, Frieza was/still is my favorite villain of the series. The thing that irks me though, is that IIRC the series was originally meant to end at that saga, but things just started getting ridiculous. The power levels. Soon enough the characters become powerful enough to obliterate entire galaxies with the power contained in the pinky finger. Heh....British_Azimio

Yeah things started to get really silly after Frieza. Goku was the first saiyan in 1000 years to go super saiyan (and only did so after some extreme circumstances), then a few years later his son and Vegeta's son who are both like 6 years old are able to do it

What's funny is that it's even lampshaded in the manga. Vegeta is training with Kid Trunksand when Trunks turns SSJ Vegeta seems legitimately irritated that becoming a Super Saiyan has become something little kids could do.

But honestly, the moment Vegeta could go Super Saiyan because he was butthurt for Goku is the moment SSJ stopped being special, lol.

Freiza or Buu

Goku going supersaiyan for the 1st time was just awesome, nothing can compare

The Buu saga while yes the story was ridiculous and they butchered the cocept of super saiyan i love all the super saiyan-ess.

Saiyan saga was my favorite, then probably frieza

None. It has to be Dragonball.

Cell saga was the pinicle, but they all had their moments.

Cell, then the Frieza saga. A lot of people would probably disagree but I really enjoyed the Great Saiyaman Saga a lot too :P

Namekian because it had the most tension and best build to the final battle. I think it took like an entire year and half to get past that saga on television when I was watching it here in Canada at around eight or so years old.
