I was sitting on the arm of the couch, and I said "dad is santa and the tooth fairy and the easter bunny real" and he just said "no". doesn't even soften the blow, sugarcoat it, lie, anything. Just "no".
I don't remember my age. probably 7ish.
they denied it...and still do to this day. :lol:t3hrubikscubeI "judge" them as pathetic for that. :D

We still joke about it in my family to this day. I don't remember exactly what I was doing, but I came home after hearing that Santa Claus wasn't real on the playground. My dad took me and my sister, and instantly dashed all of our childhood hopes in one conversation. He killed off everything. The Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, Santa, all gone in one swift blow :P
I grew up a Jehovah's WItness (The HORROR!!) so I was told since day one that Santa was bull. It was fun telling the other kids at school that they were being lied too.GrindingAxeMust have sucked being one of the only kids that didn't get christmas gifts and stuff.

Actually my parents do the same thing. I don't know if they told me he doesn't exist, or if someone at school told me, or if I just found out myself...I really can't remember, nor did it have any effect on my childhood, if anything I'm more immature now than I was back then. :P

Thought you were going to say that someone had bombed Santa for a second there :) I, like a few above, just gradually stopped believing until it got to the point I was pretending because I thought, if they knew I knew, I wouldn't get presents anymore! Those Atari games weren't gonna buy themselves!!!!The bomb was dropped that Santa and those other holiday charecters wern't real?

It was on Christmas when I was about 7. I was going through my presents that morning and noticed that the "From: Santa" and "From: Mom and Dad" Stickers were in the same handwriting and had the same border trim. I didn't say anything at the time, but I knew.
When I was young my parents had a set of World Book Encyclopedias that were like from the 60's. I had flipped through those things cover-to-cover as far back as I can remember, and I was always aware of the page on Santa. It started out: Santa Claus is a fictional character who...
So yeah, I've known as far back as I can clearly remember.
i stopped believing in santa when i was like 8 years old. my parents when christmas shopping and accidently left the receipt of what they brought on the table in the living room, from that christmas on i knew there was no santa
You know, as far I can remember, I NEVER believed in Santa Clause. Whenever the elders told me about Santa Clause, all I ever thought was how full of **** they were and I knew all along who brought the presents... I guess I grasped a sense of reality at a very young age, when I was about four actually. Consequently I was a very pessimistic child, but I don't regret a moment of it. I still liked toys and video games and what not. I was just realistic...
