They'll probably be a lot more integrated with the human body, not certain in which way though. gesture controls for sure, imbedded computer chips/controls, plausible.

I just got done watching a show on the science channel that said that it will be possible to implant microchips into our brains to make us smarter as early as 2025. ( no joke ) They said that this would be possible because computers will be "smarter" than us at around that time making it possible to make ourselves smarter as well. I think the show was called Future World.

Computers ten years from now will be far beyond anything we could even imagine at this current stage of technological development. The increase in technology in computers is exponential... it only gets better, faster as time goes on. By the year 2050 computer technology will probably run every facet of human life, there will most likely be sentient AI and most likely we will never have any idea of what it will be at this point in time.

they won't gather in speed by much (comparitive to what could happen in 50years) they will shrink alot though so for example you could have a high end sound card and surround sound built into earbud earphones. Also desktop PCs will most likely disappear as one pc would be powerful enough for the entire home so that would run everything like a centeral server, all your tvs, desktop terminals, phones, your oven (linked in to a database of recipes and a screen in your kitchen surface so the meal would automatically time itself)

all computers will run windows 2050, and they get infected by all kinds of viruses and stuffs. or even more worse is that computers take over and humans fight these "machines" and all kinds o crazy stuff. thats my opinion. :)
