Depends on the protein supplements. Weight gainers are filled with sugar, so yep, it will burn what's needed and convert the rest too fat (you won't get as much fat of the protein though, takes a lot of energy to convert it)... A lot of the supplements would probably pass right through you. Real food would be a lot better and cheaper, if you're not working out.

Yah, I would have to agree with this, although there is a special supplement only diet out there that body builders use, which involves using nothing but protein supplements and weight loss supplements, It's a very radial weight loss program though.
It would be like eating food with no nutritional value. Your metabolism may just burn it off, or it may turn into fat. It definitely won't turn into muscle, and they rarely have any vitamins in them (whey has some calcium).
