What would you do if you has 50 billion dollars?

i would personally help my entire family. Then of course buy a house on an island that no one knows about. what would you do and why?

I would keep 1 billion and give the rest to other causes. 1 billion if divided by 80 years is $12,500,000 a year which is more than enough for me. :o

give some to family and friends that i actuall like. Then disappear, leaving a phone that can only call 1 other phone, which i would have, too my parents.

Retire early, travel the world. Open several businesses, give a few million to my family, withdraw over a few million to stash away, hire top of the line lawyers, and hope the IRS don't come looking for me. At one point though, I will completely disappear from society, find a nice spot near a large body of water where I will have a nice size house made to withstand almost anything mother nature throws at it and also top of the line security. I will leave a few selected family members letters of appreciation making sure I don't leave any clues to where I live...

I would donate a good deal of it like a lot of people here said, likely to charities and probably invest in some future technologies and education. Then I would pay off my debt and give money to my family. Then I would buy or build a sweet house, build my own racetrack and buy tons of awesome cars and drive the hell out of them.

Keep 2 billion dollars and give the other 48 billion dollars away to charities. Not only would 2 billion dollars support you and your family for the rest of everyones LIVES, but you'd also be an absolute HERO in the eyes of everyone in the world.
