Bill O'reilly just baffles me. I started watching alot of videos on him and this just made me physically angry. HOW IS THIS GUY ALIVE? especially in a country with no gun control? If i was in Bill O'reilly i would've got up and smashed his right side of his face until he STFU.

What would you do on Bill O'reilly's show?

I feel bad for that kid. He kept on trying to get it the part about what he was doing the day it happened. I could not imagine that.

I'd get in a shouting match with him. Find that old video of the guy who was really anti-war way back when during the Bush Presidency on his show, they go at it pretty hard. Me, it would be like that except that every time he tried to cut me off I'd just talk louder until...I really don't know, perhaps he might attack me and I could end his "journalist" career path.

Bill O'Reily has an awful personality. He's very nasty. The only television personality I can think of that is possibly worse in Nancy Grace.

If I was on his show, I would actually attempt to point out the glaring errors in his logic. His logic and conclusions are so silly yet nobody really capitilizes on that. Part of that has to do with it being his show. If Bill O'Reily brought his same arguments to an environment in which he had no more control than anybody else he would get destroyed.

People have tried. The problem is that Bill O'Reilly's "debate tactics", if they can be called as much, is to yell at the person to shut up, tell them what they think, and then cut their mic. And then slander them on air in later episodes for good measure. I've never seen a segment in which Bill actually responded to anything the other person actually said.

Yeah, I guess that's true. That makes me wonder: why do people even bother going on his show? Do they get compensation of some sort?

Perhaps you could tell him that you were coming on his show to discuss the deficit, and then prepare a statement explaingin how the tides actually work.

And assuming there's time left, you could also explain magnets to him.

I actually often wonder how Nancy grace has not been sued into bankruptcy or taken off the air since her entire show is about slandering people.

Maybe because she does it a very subtle way that's hard to establish in court.

I've actually been wondering recently how Bill or Glenn's fanbase would react if they ended up getting goaded into an interview by a rival and that rival used the same tactics against them, might slightly hinder their reputation. Unfortunately that's like F**'s number one rule, never let your windbags go on anybody else's show, let them come to you.

That was actually covered in the video posted in the OP. Basically, in order to successfully sue someone for slander, you need to show that the person actually knew what they said was a lie, and it's difficult to prove that someone who is clearly unhinged and who's been saying outrageous bull**** for his entire career actually knows that what he's saying isn't true.

In other words, it's not illegal to spread harmful lies about someone else, so long as you do it on a regular basis. Ah litigation, the lifeblood of our nation.

Pretty much, yeah; as long as you come across as insane enough that you might actually believe what you're saying, you probably can't get sued for slander. :P

I would probably interrupt with random stuff like:

-The moon causes the tides go in and out.

-Health care is a right according to the interpretation of the constitution

-Gay s*x

Hope that last one isn't offensive but I would say that.

I probably wouldn't, or couldn't, say anything. He wouldn't let me. He would just interupt as soon as I try to say anything that begins to sound like something he doesn't agree with. It's the Fox way. Or he would ask me for detailed proof of everything I mention. Of course, he never has to prove anything. Just blurt out a bunch of unfounded nonsense. Also the Fox way.

I certainly wouldn't do anything very extravagant.

If people dog on Bill O'reilly BECAUSE he gets overly irate and lashes out at his viewers, how on Earth does doing to him on his own show in any way expose what he does for what it is?

It just gives him more ammunition against me.

Especially if I'm on his show. I'm a guest on another person's show and I flip **** on him? All that does is make me look like a douchebag.
