I never usually do this, but I thought the internet could help here. I take a class at a college nearby with mostly older women 30+. The one exception is this girl who looks about 20 or so who is one of the cooler girls I have met in a while. Problem is I only have 3 classes left, aka 3 weeks. I don't know her very well but I would like to, and I know I sound like a wuss here but I have never done something like this before, my old high school only had 7 high schoolers so Im kinda new to this.

Just talk to her before or after class - don't know if there's really any trick to it. What class is it? If you need something to lead into a conversation, discussing a topic from that day's lecture will work (so it's not original, it works). It will be a bit awkward by virtue of it being the first time you've really talked to her despite having an opportunity all semester, but better late than never. Is the class small enough that everyone has set seating arrangements, or can you sneak a spot by her?

Its a pretty small writing class, only about 10 people there. She usually gets in a couple of minutes late and everyone tends to sit in the same place. The seats aren't assigned but everyone just tends to drift toward a general area. She is also a songwriter and loves music, so that could help since I am into music too.

Do you ever expect to see her again?

If so, then stay cool and build up a relationship slowly. She's in your class, so I imagine that you can think up some excuse to at least get contact with her and initiate that contact.

And if you don't expect to ever see her again, then what are you worried about? You can make an ass out of yourself. But it's not like you'll ever see her again, so what do you care?

Three weeks is more than enough to get your point across, so don't worry about the time frame.

My advice is start off small, conversations here and there. Later on ask her out, as in a date not

a relationship. Somewhere not too fancy, and not too raunchy. The rest is really up to you, just be

yourself. Stay calm, cool, collective, and most of all make sure she's comfortable around you.

Oh jesus. I didn't notice that before.

In that case, you're better off without her. It's one thing to be late twice, but being late CONSTANTLY is a sign of an unreliable person who doesn't give a damn. She might be cool, but you're probably better off without her. Forget about her and find someone else.

That reminds me of a funny story, a friend of mine did the same thing but he made a mistake. He had just bought a porn magazine and saw her walking past, he panicked when he couldnt find any paper, and tore off a page from the porn mag and wrote on it. He ran up to her and gave her the paper, she stared at it and looked shocked and he noticed he gave he a pic of a girl spreading her butt cheeks. He went red and said look at the other side, and it was his number. Thankfully she laughed and said she would call him sometime.

Its not like she is 30 minutes late. Usually only 5 minutes at most. She has to drive a long way too. I understand what you mean though, its just that my almost total isolation from any social life is starting to get deoressing so I am trying to establish some social links. Most of my friends are either in college far away, dont call me for some reason, or live too far away to be seen very often since i cant drive yet.

The only thing I am kinda worried about about is whether she has a boyfriend or not. Its kinda hard to tell unless she says she has one, and I have seen some girls act almost crazy when they have a boyfriend and get asked out by a guy who doesnt know.

Maybe you should hang out with her as friends first? Like set something up with some friends and invite her and tell her to invite some friends as well and just hang out but focus mostly on her and getting to know her? If you are like me this would never work though becaus eI have no friends XD Cousins would work though =o

Ask her anyway, no need to make the situation so strenuous. She's only human.

That shouldn't worry you. Just come across as a friendly guy. If things work up to more than that, let it. If not, let it go how it does. At least you'll meet someone new in the process. Just remember to always smile. Even if you ask her on a date and she refuses, just say ok, smile, and walk away.

Dude, its easy. Trust me i've been in your shoes. I went for it and thats how im with my current girlfriend. How often do you talk to her? First, this is very important, be confident....yea i know easier said then done and cheesy but hey it really helps. Just ask if she would like to HANG OUT with you pure and simple. i dont know where you live so i dont know what you can do for fun. Dont go to the theaters because you wont communicate much with her there. Dont feel bad if she declines. Do you really want to go thinking for a very long time, WHAT IF? Dont, it sucks. Go for it, you wont die if she turns you down.

Talk to her. Ask her if she wants to get something to eat. Then ask for her Facebook, number etc. If she says no are you actually going to see her again? You'd rather know than not right?!

Its funny all my friends are the type who go to raves and such and love big crowds. I am fine with those things and I guess I would try them, but after a while I almost narrow down the people I know to those who are actually interesting and dont want to constantly party. Plus I like to spend time by myself working on my writing, I cant write if I am at a party. Well I'm sure I could try but i probably wouldn't go well.
