Thank you! I'd say the same about you. I've never heard Brand New before, but I just looked them up, and I'm liking their sound.

We both have Funeral in our top five, our music taste can't be much different. :P
Bonus two that are hard to leave out: Pornography by The Cure and Funeral by The Arcade Fire
As of right now, it's Aealo/Genesis/A Dead Poem all by Rotting Christ, At The Heart of Winter by Immortal and Necropolis by Vader. It, honestly changes daily. A good example is that I'm listening to the albums Sons of a Northern Darkness by Immortal right now on my iPod (family is sleeping) and I'm lovin' every second of it.
I always pegged Dirt as your favorite AIC album. Nevertheless great choices. Although admittedly I have no idea who that last band is. :3Yours are great choices.

Well, I will never have a permanent "top-5" that stays the same forever... as my bands of interest always change... but here is a somewhat accurate list to what I like now.

This list is full of win, but I havn't heard of Kevin Gilbert before. Is the list in order or is it just 5 favourites?
I've largely given up on trying to choose favourite albums now. It's too hard, and it just changes all the time. Really any attempt at a list is basically the albums that I am listening to at that time mixed in with nostalgia choices. So I'll just do the 5 albums I like best that I'm listening to a lot at the moment. Not in any real order:
Nektar - A Tab in the Ocean
John Martyn - Solid Air
Comus - First Utterance
Charles Mingus - The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
Frank Zappa - Hot Rats
I've only got into Zappa fairly recently. Amazon were selling the threesome packs for a good price (Freak Out, Absolutely Free, Were Only in it for the Money - Hot Rats, Waka/Jawaka, The Grand Wazoo). Can't believe I'd been missing out all this time. Really awesome stuff.
