The Departed. I'm serious.RoflSponge
I was kind of the same. It was good, I thought, but not especially spectacular. Again, like my above post, maybe I just need to see it again. :P

I absolutely hated that movie! And it was all because of the ending! It felt like they got to a certain point in the story, then just said, "Screw it, this is getting to long" and just threw a bunch of crap together to end it! I loved the movie up until the final 15 minutes or so.
People liked V for Vendetta?
Children of Men, the trailer had a good premise. Sadly the movie doesn't go a step beyond the trailer and it ends up being just a sci-fi chase flick with a painfully predictable ending.

I actually loved V for Vendetta.
And I completely agree with Children of Men. One of a series of supposedly good movies that I thought were mediocre at best. The others include Babel, The Good Shepherd, and The Illusionist. All movies I heard were good, then turned out to be not so good.

So you finally saw 300, or are you still basing your opinion on things youve heard?
Napolean Dinomyte, everyone loved it, I seriously did not find it funny, it was boring and stupidn>ConManWithGunyeah, i never saw what people liked about that movie.
300... The Departed also... I mean it was a very good movie...but it felt kinda wierd at the end, the ending felt rushed and its sorta like they decided to randomly kill off everyone they possibly could. (yea yea I know, hence the title)
I thought V for Vendetta was very good...
I also really liked Children of Men...but you can see my review about that if you're interested...
Borat. There are few funny scenes, but the rest of the movie strikes me as boring and a waste of time.

no...If I saw 300, my brain would have exploded after trying to process the most pointless and retarded movie ever made...

Same, it seemed like a whole lot of nothing happened during the film.
Not even Jon Gries could save the abomination of Napoleon Dynamite. It wasn't even stupid-funny, just stupid...and hard to sit through, as it was the kind of painfully bad that makes you squirm in your seat and feel embarassed for the state of the human race.
As for me, there are a lot of movies that everyone raves about that I dislike. I cannot stand most of Scorcese's movies, for example - I'm sorry, they're boring as **bleep**. Even Goodfellas. Not a big Kubrick fan either.
Deer Hunter was another one that people raved about. I cannot think of another movie that tries so hard to make you turn it off for the entire first hour.
Full Metal Jacket had the opposite problem - the beginning was good, and then they offed the only two interesting characters in the movie and ruined the remainder.
More recently I watched Happy Feet, which won an oscar and got a lot of praise. What people forgot to say was that the movie is absolute garbage. The whole thing is unfocused and scatterbrained and the (seemingly) hundreds of bursts into song are painful to sit through.
The Shrek movies never did anything for me. Almost everyone else seemed to love them
Pirates, only the first one was good, the other 2 were a waste.
2001: A Space Oddesy. A lot of people feel that it's some meaningful, deep film. I guess I'm not deep enough to understand or enjoy it. and if that's the case, I don't think I want to be.
I'm not too fond of the Lord of the Rings movies :?Kid-Icarus-Neither am I. And you can add 300. It was awful.
