What#s more spread among the english language? Autumn or Fall?

Well, easy question. I'd like to know the why though if you use the one or the other :D

Fall seems to be the more common thing to call it, at least in my neck of the woods. Autumn is fine too though.

Fall seems more common in America.

Outside of TV and films I've never heard anyone call it fall.

In England we call it Autumn.

I probably hear it 70% fall 30% autmn.

Fall. I never hear anyone say Autumn in the US.

I always say autumn, just because it sounds better than fall, but everyone around here says fall.

I write technical bulletins. I I use Autumn because it seems to be more formal than "fall." That doesn't mean I'm correct though.

Fall is used more though I've seen autumn get used quite frequently too...

I use both though...

Autumn sounds prettier than Fall
