Nothing any more, now it's just a way for Apple fanboys to make their OS look less awful.

Most of the problems have long since been resolved. It is a nice OS.

I bought a laptop with Vista the day it launched, and it was an absolute train wreck. The biggest problem was that nothing was compatible with it at first. You wouldn't believe the hoops I had to jump through to get the computer to recognize my printer, and I had a heck of a time trying to get the thing to connect to my home or office networks. The first few months were an absolute nightmare. It's better now though.

It absolutely hates my copy of Macromedia Flash, and freezes up way more often than XP, even though I'm using it on a brand new computer.

It's not supposed to be really bad. It's just simply not enough of an improvement upon XP for me to swich to it. Even though I have Vista on dual boot, I never go into. Recently I just tried Far Cry 2 in DX10 - and while the benchmark reported higher FPS than in XP, the mouselag and stuttering was unbearable.

It isn't minimalist... which is what a OS should be.

I'm ok with Vista as well. It's a memory hog, but if you have enough memory it runs fairly smooth.

Haxx0r u r?

Anyways I love Vista. I was skeptical at first, but after I bought a laptop with it installed already, I've really grown attached to it. BTW does anyone know how to get the Windows Flip (I think that's what it's called) back to the toolbar on the bottom left of the screen? I never could figure it out after I accidently removed it.....

I prefer the XP design, but there's nothing with Vista anymore.

There's nothing wrong with it, I guess the only problem that mac people spout about vista is that it only works really well if you have a pretty good PC. But that's somewhat hypocritical because a decent mac isn't exactly cheap either.

After turning off UAC, it's actually pretty good. And after turning off pointless services, booting up is faster than XP, and RAM and CPU usage aren't much higher. For me, it's a better looking, smoother running, DX10 enabled version of XP.

I suppose I'll try it out for myself if I get a new computer, it would be strictly for gaming though . . .

Really? I tend to prefer maximist design. Both ends of the spectrum have their uses . . .

 Those commercials are really clever, but they make mac users so annoying. >_>
