What a wonderfully constructed sentence.

I never find 3D movies to add much TBH....so I couldn't say. Watch for the movie....not the effects.

The movie producers support 3D.

The Directors do not.

Despite the heavy marketing by movie industry, 3D is still unwelcomed by directors. Most studio's only do it for higher ticket prices and only use CG imagery to produce the stereo scopic affect after the movie is finished. James Cameron is one of the few directors that actually uses the 3D cameras and incorporate the tech in every scene of the movie. Avatar is still by far, the best 3D produced film ever made. Unless another Director uses it with that same level of passion, Avatar is probably going to keep the crown for a long time..

Peter Jackson's Studio ordered new 3D HD cameras for The Hobbit, so it'll be interesting to see how he uses it.

I've heard Avatar on Blu Ray is amazing. I'd go with that for 3D.
