I don't think it would have been worth to put the old school ones instead since the majority of moviegoers have seen the remake ones

Independence day completely owns this poll. Seriously loved this film. In fact the first time I saw it was at a drive in movie theatre which made it extra cool.

i enjoyed cloverfield it felt like a monster movie, not an alien movie, though Well, it wasn't like it was made from a lab or anything. i enjoyed cloverfield it felt like a monster movie, not an alien movie, though Well, it wasn't like it was made from a lab or anything. I see what you mean, and I agree. I just picked it because I never really enjoyed Independence Day and the newer versions of War of the Worlds and The Day The Earth Stood Still were terrible. And Mars Attacks was more of a comedy to me.
That one doesn't really have that 'they're coming to annihilate us' thing going. Although it is my favorite 'alien' movie.One that really scares me.I like how it's all so mysterious.

This. Can't wait to see it I thought the short film Alive in Joburg was amazing with what little they had to make it. This is going to be an amazing movie. Also Cloverfield didn't have aliens.
