I remember one year, I went trick-or-treating with my cousins. There was this one house handing out king sized Hershey bars. I think that is the best thing I've gotten.

I have no idea what they are :P
I've never gone Trick or Treating actually. *cries a little inside*
Though, every Halloween parents take their kids Trick or Treating to the nearby stores and they'd get candy from the there. I worked at one of those, and though we weren't allowed to hand out candy (even though it was a drug store with two aisles dedicated to candy) I did hook up this cutie who brought in her son and was disappointed we weren't giving any away. So I (seeing an opportunity) grabbed a bag of Reese's minis off the shelf, tore it open and dropped some in the kid's bag. I ended up with the lady's number after that. So I guess that kinda counts as getting something.
A rock, I have only gotten rocks..
Oh! and a bowl of soup...

Lucky! What kind?
Campbell's tomato soup, I was then on a desperate need for some grilled cheese sandwiches..
EDIT: Some lame igneous rock, I'm more of a granite rock fan..
You have one of the greatest food combinations there.
King sized Hersey Bars and Hersey with almond Bars.
Wait I am wrong. My friend and I went to one house in a secluded street as one of our last houses and the lady said she had only had like 3 other kids come by so she gave us each half a bowl of candy. It nearly doubled my loot for the night.
We don't go trick-or-treating in Australia, but a few friends decided to do it anyway. So we go off on our way not expecting much, but it turned out people were pretty happy to play along. People were giving us heaps of candy (handfuls of whatever they had) 2L bottles of Coca Cola, and a few, feeling guilty that they had not planned for such an occasion, offered to give us money (we got about $50+ AU that night).Topic!

Anyway, we decided to do it again the next year but it turns out all the little kids and neighbourhood scum had caught on to the scent and many people just said no. I think they were happy to give it to 5 people having a bit of fun, but not 50 or more people trying to scheme candy and money of people. Plus, those other kids weren't nice at all. We stopped and chatted to people and generally were very nice about it and grateful for people playing along, but as I said the other kids just wanted lollies and money.
Oh well, fun while it lasted.

I heard Robin Williams gives out great stuff at his house like king sized candy bars. I live near his home, but I've never gone lol.
King sized candy.
Worst was apples. It's a complete waste because you know that parents aren't going to let their kids eat them.
Well i remember a few years back i was trick or treating with my cousin and we went to this block of flats and knocked on a random door and this black guy appeared at the window and it was obvious he wasnt English and he was TERRIFIED and he was like "WHAT DO YOU WANT?" in a strong african accent and we were like .."trick or treat? heard of it?" "haloween?" and he was like "HALOWEEN WHAT IS A HALOWEEN??" and then he dissapeared from behind the window , lol he probably thought we were trying to mug him or something.
Also a boy who opened the door thinking we were his parents or something before saying "whao" and then slamming it shut.
I once got over 5lbs...I had to use a trash bag to carry it all.
The people that leave their candy in bowls.;)
Also....for all you other unlucky people....I live 5 min from Hershey WOOO!!!!!!
