What's the best way to ask out a girl at a store?

So anyway, there's this one girl who works at this store near me, and she really has the hots for me. But it just seems too unprofessional to walk up to her as a customer and ask her if she wants to go hang out sometime.

Now, I'm sure she'd want to hang out or exchange numbers if I got to talk to her when she wasn't working, but every time I see her, she's working the cash register. And you know, it's really just in bad form to ask someone out in that sort of situation.

And BTW, before you guys start saying "you're stupid. She doesn't like you. She's just being nice because you're a customer", I know that she has the hots for me because I used to work with her. I just never got around to asking her out before I left.

So anyway...I can't outright ask her out. And I don't really get a chance to talk to her, since I'm always in and out real quick. So what's a good thing for me to do? Maybe start buying more groceries at a time so that I get to talk to her longer? Maybe when I'm handing her the money, discreetly slip her a piece of paper with my phone number on it? WHAT DO I DO?

Buy some Cap'n Crunch and tell her you have nobody to eat it with.

I tried this before, and it didn't work. But you may have better luck.

I just ask people out point blank. It's really the best way.

what you do, is you hand her your items, lean 1 of your elbows onto the counter, and say, " I was wondering... (the short pause is CRUCIAL) if maybe we could get together sometime?" as shes checking your stuff, then dont pay her until she says yes

EDIT: but dont tell her that your not going to pay until she says yes

Anyway, don't do the note on the paper. That's very "Fifth Grade". Just wear a big sandwich board that says I LOVE [INSERT NAME] and walk back and forth in front of the store ringing a bell.

If she can't figure it out from that, then she's probably mentally restarted and you don't want her kids anyway.

Now, that's not to say that I hate you, I'm only speaking hypothetically.

But yeah, I'm not 100% certain, but I'm pretty freaking sure. A lot of times you can tell, because people actually go out of their way to deliberately tell you things without actually saying it.

Now, first go up to her, and say "Umm I haven't gotten around the time of asking you this when I was working here, but I think you're really pretty. So do you want to go out with me sometime?"

Don't say beautiful because you are not in a deep relationship. Don't say hawt because then she'll think you are some jerk. Clear, simple words will get a girl to say yes. Girls HATE guys who go up them and start acting crazy. Try not to stutter and try not to wear a tuxedo or something weird...

Since you used to work with her, you should know her by name. Be casual about it. Throw a party with your friends, and then ask her if she wants to come to the party. Or ask her if she wants to go to the movie with your friends or whatever.
